Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid made a moving tribute to Kate Garraway’s husband as he’s battling coronavirus.
The emotional 49-year-old ITV host sent her love and support to her co-host and friend Kate’s husband Derek Draper after it was revealed he was in intensive care with severe Covid-19 symptoms.
Kate’s rep confirmed the worrying news on Friday, confirming that the TV presenter hasn’t been allowed to visit Derek to avoid catching the virus.
Susanna said: “We send him every ounce of strength as he recovers from coronavirus and love to her family.
“We thank all the NHS workers working so hard at the moment treating those who are suffering the virus.”

Susanna’s co-star Piers Morgan also appeared emotional, as he added: “It’s coming home to everyone, everyone’s been touched by this… this is something that affects all of us around the world.
“We’ve never had anything like this. It’s agonising for everybody involved.
“We wish everybody the best, fingers crossed everything turns out ok.”
Kate isn’t allowed to visit the former Labour adviser due to the strict rules around coronavirus patients in hospitals.
