Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown left BBC Breakfast hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt gobsmacked this morning after abruptly hanging up during an interview.
The ex-Labour MP appeared on the show to discuss the latest controversy surrounding Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal.
He slammed Johnson for “breaking” the international treaty he signed last year but the interview soon suffered a technical hitch.
His screen momentarily froze, forcing Charlie to interrupt: “Gordon Brown, I am going to have to stop you there.
“Not least and my apology but you have actually frozen on us.
“That sometimes happens on Zoom, but I see you are back right now. We really appreciate your time.

“Thank you for joining BBC Breakfast today, thank you so much.”
Mr Brown then abruptly shut his laptop before the call had even ended – and the look on the two presenters back in the studio said it all.
Naga looked visibly shocked as Charlie struggled for words, saying: “Err… there you go.
“That’s definitely over. Err… that ended.”
The comical moment was quickly picked up by viewers back at home, who flooded Twitter with their thoughts.

“This is how all interviews on TV should end,” TV critic Scott Bryan wrote.
Another joked: “I was worried where the camera was going to go there at first.”
“This is incredible, so abrupt,” a third added.
And a fourth claimed it was the “TV equivalent of a mic drop”.
It comes after Naga was told off by her BBC Breakfast co-host when she tried to walk off on set.
