Strictly star Nicola Adams is 'too tired for sex' with girlfriend Ella Baig

With just days before the official Strictly Come Dancing kick-off, star Nicola Adams is hard at work training for the competition.

However, the 37-year-old’s girlfriend Ella Baig, 21, has confessed the pro boxer is too tired for action in the bedroom after hours of dance training.

Instead of having sex, the sweethearts prefer to cosy up with a box set and a takeaway, enjoying each other’s company.

The beauty blogger told The Sun: “We’re too tired! We’re just watching a lot of Netflix and taking advantage of Deliveroo.

“Where we live in Leeds we can’t get it. So to be able to have it here and order it whenever we like is great.”

Ella and Nicola first met on a night out in 2018, and have been head over heels ever since, recently filming Celebrity Gogglebox together from their Leeds home.

The Olympic boxer – who retired from the sport last year – comes home from dance training “exhausted,” her girlfriend revealed.

She continued: “Nicola is putting in such gruelling hours. She’s exhausted by the time she comes home.

“With my job I can work from home, which is great. It means when she comes back we can spend some quality time together.

“I am so proud of her and the show hasn’t even properly started.”

Nicola is making history as part of the first-ever same sex couple on Strictly, partnering up with pro dancer Katya Jones.

The pair could be seen swirling across the dance floor together during last weekend’s Strictly launch, but this Saturday will be the true test, as the judges’ comments come into play.

Opening up about the historic pairing on Strictly, Nicola told The Guardian: “I guess it’s just breaking those boundaries and showing people that it’s OK.

“It’s not such an uncommon thing: professional dancers dance with people of the same sex all the time; you dance in a nightclub with your friends.”

The acclaimed sportswoman added: “I just wanted to break down the thing of it being a big deal when it’s not really a big deal.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.50pm on BBC One.
