Piers Morgan has claimed in his first televised interview since leaving Good Morning Britain, that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry slipped up 17 times.
According to the 56-year-old, it has now been proven that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been untruthful on a number of occasions during the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In a snippet from the interview on US TV, Piers said on FOX Nation’s video podcast series: “I still don’t believe what they were saying and in particular I don’t believe what Meghan Markle said.
“17 different claims by the pair of them have now been proven to be either completely untrue, or massively exaggerated or unprovable.”
Piers went on: “I didn’t believe Meghan Markle, a huge furore erupted through the day.
“I was in outrage. I wasn’t allowed to have an opinion that I didn’t believe what she was saying even though it was clear to me in real time, as I was watching the interview, there were a number of things that just couldn’t be true.”
Following Meghan and Harry’s tell-all interview, Piers took centre stage on GMB telling the British nation that he “didn’t believe” Meghan.
This sparked fury, because weatherman Alex Beresford who had watched the same interview had a very opposing view and decided to confront the anchorman live on air.
As Alex unleashed his rage, Piers fumed: “Im not going to listen to this.”
He stormed off set as the meteorologist continued to take aim.
It later emerged that Meghan had actually filed her own complaint to ITV’s CEO in response to Piers’ comments on the show.
The Life Stories host was requested to apologise but he refused and later resigned leaving behind a five year legacy on the program.
