Hollyoaks is set for an explosive winter season this year, as Luke Morgan faces his final ever Christmas and Warren’s life is in danger in prison.
In a newly-released trailer, which can be viewed on the show’s social media platforms, the soap has confirmed that at least two characters face grave danger this winter.
Cindy is hoping to make this Christmas her best yet, as she fears it could be her husband Luke’s last ever.
As his Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) worsens and his dangerously erratic behaviour mounts, Cindy is comforted only by an emotional video message Luke shot for her to give her the strength she needs to get through it.
Meanwhile, conspiracy theorist Becky is busy reassuring Ollie that his dad doesn’t need doctors at all – but will he be sucked in by her extreme beliefs?
It’s also looking like Warren and Fergus could be in deadly danger, as Trish finds out what her fiancé has been up to and plans to record a confession.
Things soon take a turn for the worst, with Fergus looking like his time might be up – but not before he admits he put a hit out on Warren in jail.
Meanwhile, more details about Darren’s kidnapping is revealed, as the real danger lies with captor Ethan’s girlfriend, Maya.
As Darren stares down the barrel of a gun – will he manage to convince Ethan to spare him?
Elsewhere, heartbreak looks in store for Martine as she is told that her son Mitchell Deveraux murdered her niece, Lisa Loveday.
However, all isn’t what it seems, as he was actually framed by his own sister, Celeste, attempting to keep the truth behind Lisa’s murder under wraps.
But undercover cop Nate is hot on their tails as he suspects there is more to the story.
Mercedes also makes her epic return in good spirits, which is exactly what the McQueens need as they struggle to save their home.
Nana’s health is also worsening – but can they get back on their feet in time for Christmas?
After Misbah recently admitted Dr Ali Shahzard raped her years ago, her son Imran’s violent side is set to reappear as he menacingly warns Ali to admit what he did.
But how far will he go to secure a confession?
Meanwhile, Charlie and Ella are planning to start a family of their own, the Lomaxes are struggling to make ends meet this Christmas, Scott could be set to become a foster parent and Damon’s gambling obsession puts his relationship in danger.
Hollyoaks airs every weeknight at 7pm on E4 and 6:30pm on Channel 4
