I'm a Celeb's Nicola McLean 'got boobs out on ITV show to get those front pages'

Nicola McLean has opened up about her time on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here as the hit ITV series returned to our screens last night.

The model and TV personality featured on the show in 2008 and will be remembered for her steamy outdoor shower scenes and looking smoking hot in a bikini.

Daily Star columnist Nicola sat down for an exclusive chat with the Daily Star to discuss her thoughts on the latest lineup and what she thinks about the show now being filmed in Wales instead of Australia.

Nicola McLean said it’s not the same filming in Wales and girls won’t get their boobs out in the shower as it’s too cold

When asked about the much-anticipated shower scenes that I’m A Celeb is known for and how it might not be as easy now that it’s being filmed in chilly Wales, Nicola told Daily Star: “That’s why they’re not picking glamour models with massive boobs, they’re like ‘what’s the point?’

“They’re not going to get them out in Wales, are they?”

The mum-of-two pointed out though that the showers down under were also very cold – but that didn’t stop her.

Nicola is a former glamour model and said she got her boobs out on the show to make the front page

Nicola added: “The showers were freezing in Australia, we had the worst weather in 30 years when I did it but I still got in that bikini because I wanted them front pages.

“I wasn’t wasting that opportunity!”

She also said the hardest part of being in the show was missing her son, the “boredom” and “being around morons like David Van Day” who she described as “brain-numbing” – and she told him so.

Van Day, 64, is a singer and politician and was Nicola’s least favourite campmate – she even called him an “absolute t***”.

In other IAC news, Chloe Madeley has spoken out about how amazing her dad is. Richard, 65, is one of the biggest names in this year’s show.

She said: “I would say that all my good qualities come from my dad. He is just perfect and he is a perfect man to be a father.

“He is such a good laugh. He is funny, charming, super-duper intelligent, perceptive, and very compassionate and knows the difference between right and wrong. I just thank my lucky stars for him really.”

Let’s see if everyone else agrees.

I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV and ITV Hub at 9pm
