McFly drummer Harry Judd and his wife Izzy are set to welcome baby number three, the delighted parents have confirmed.
The musician, 35, broke the news on Sunday, revealing Harry’s McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher – who has three sons of his own – burst into tears when he heard the news.
Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Izzy, who recently tested positive for coronavirus and is in self-isolation, said: “When we found out, I did feel panic.
“We have all been living in fear of this virus and we’ve been so careful for over a year, so it is a shock when numbers are low and I’m pregnant.”
Describing his bandmates’ reactions to their baby news, Harry said: “Tom cried. Tom always cries. I didn’t even cry when I found out.”
The sweethearts, who have been married since 2012, already shared two children together – daughter Lola, five, and three-year-old son Kit.
Violinist Izzy previously underwent a round of IVF in 2014, which led to a heartbreaking miscarriage for the couple.
They were overjoyed when Izzy fell pregnant by natural means with son Kit soon after, and now the couple’s third child is due in October.
Both Harry and Izzy plan to learn the baby’s gender before the birth, with the expecting mum adding: “We think it will be lovely for Lola and Kit to know.”
Izzy has been vocal about her experience of IVF and miscarriage, addressing the conversation around struggling to conceive while hosting the popular Let’s Talk Fertility podcast.
Her book Dare to Dream: My Struggle to Become a Mum climbed the Sunday Times Bestseller list back in 2017, candidly discussing her fertility journey.
The sweethearts first met back in 2005 during McFly’s Wonderland tour, when Izzy was selected to perform as part of the backing orchestra on stage.
Izzy previously reminisced over the moment they met in a tribute to her husband, writing: “14 years since we met…I met Harry on @mcflymusic wonderland tour, I had been booked to play the violin as part of the orchestra.
“It didn’t start too well as I got mumps 3 days into rehearsals and had to go home (I was the contagious girl) So two weeks later I went back and spent the rest of the tour falling in love with Harry.”
Harry popped the question seven years later while holidaying in St Lucia in the Caribbean, getting down on bended knee.
They tied the knot that same year, travelling to Izzy’s hometown of Harpenden in Hertfordshire for an intimate ceremony with their nearest and dearest.
