Wendy Williams has predicted that Meghan Markle will “regret” her decision to cut off her father, Thomas.
Discussing the apparent father-duo feud on her talk show, the US host said: “I’m Team Thomas on this particular thing. He’s an old man, he’s apparently not well, he goes in and out of swollen ankles, he doesn’t look spry at 76.
“He’s got two grandchildren that he’s never met. Meghan does not have to accept him all the way in her family. But maybe a little hideout one day in Malibu. And invite him over with no press involved.”
The reason for the falling out between Meghan and Thomas is due to a 2018 paparazzi shoot that Thomas had taken part in just ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry.
Thomas previously appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss the topic, saying that he had apologised “100 times” for deceiving his daughter but he claimed that she, along with Prince Harry, had cut him off.
Harry himself is not unfamiliar with strained familial ties as he recently made an appearance on the podcast Armchair Expert hosted by Dax Shepard and Monica Padman.
Harry discussed the parenting techniques of the Royal Family, referring to them as inflicting “pain and suffering”, something he plans to break away from as he and Meghan raise their son, Archie.
The prince said: “It’s a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway, so we as parents should be doing the most we can to try and say ‘you know what, that happened to me, I’m going to make sure that doesn’t happen to you.”
Archie recently turned two years old and the couple are expecting a baby daughter.
Members of the Royal Family posted their happy birthday messages to Archie on social media on May 6 following a post from Harry and Meghan celebrating his big day.
Prince Harry has teamed up with Oprah Winfrey once again following their landmark interview, in a brand new documentary that will air on Apple TV soon.
