Strictly’sDan Walker had the last laugh as he shared a message from a troll and joked about the angry comment.
The BBC Breakfast star has had some stick online since taking to the dance floor, but showed his sense of humour by sharing a post from a viewer who said he hated him and hoped he’d go bald.
Dan, 44 – who is dancing with pro Nadiya Bychkova in the BBC ballroom contest – tweeted: “Thanks again for all the lovely messages about Strictly.
“We’re delighted that so many are enjoying watching an awkward dad getting taught by a double world-champion.”
“I’ve attached just three of the 1000s of positive messages from the weekend but also my favourite angry one,” he added, along with a crying with laughter emoji.
He shared posts from fans saying he was “amazing” and “inspiring” and praising his dancing.
The TV star then added another string of messages from a troll saying he was “embarrassing” and threatening to sue him for “s***” dancing.
“Hate you so much,” the person said.
“Hope you mess up in your next dance and fall and lose.”
The person also said they hoped Dan lost all his hair.
The troll finished up by saying: “How (sic) you fall and brake (sic) your leg.”
Dad-of-three Dan definitely saw the funny side of the abusive posts.
“‘I hope you go bald’ is just the best ever,” he joked.
“I’m also intrigued by how you would go about suing someone for their dancing!”
Several fans sympathised with Dan after he shared the messages.
“It must start to get to you receiving hateful messages,” said one person. “People wouldn’t dare say these things to his face so how dare they say them online.”
Another said: “So many sad people out there getting angry and silly over a dance programme.”
Dan was safe for another week on Sunday, with Tilly Ramsay being eliminated.
