Tipping Point fans fume that Ben Shephard is giving 'unfair advantage' to player

Tipping Point fans were fuming as they thought the show’s presenter Ben Shephard was giving an unfair advantage to one of his players.

Tuesday’s show (November 30) saw four new players walk into the ITV studio to try their luck against the notoriously tough coin-pusher machine in a bid to win a hefty cash prize.

Jane, Eddy, Simon and Jodie were the latest contenders pitted together on questions of general knowledge, where they win counters for correct answers.

However, ITV viewers became convinced that the show host was allowing one contestant – train driver Jody – to spend far too long on the arcade machine.

They thought it was putting her fellow contestants at a disadvantages as the rounds went on, and some took to Twitter to vent their frustration.

One viewer said: “Ben giving Jody all the time in the world. If it was one of the men they’d be out of play very quickly”

A second fan wrote: “Ben keeps the machine running for ages for Jody”

A third commented: “Bl**dy hell how long are they giving jody”.

A fourth sarcastically penned: “Im now willing you as much time as you want for the counters to drop. Come on everyone let’s jump up and down to help Jody”

Jodie made it all the way to the penultimate round as she saw off Eddy and Jane.

She even managed to bag an impressive horde of 13 counters during the opening round, which won praise from Ben.

However, it wasn’t enough to secure her victory and she eventually got knocked out with £1600 – with Simon making it to the jackpot round.

After multiple attempts at landing the £10k jackpot counter, Simon decided to take home his winnings of £2050 – as well as a mystery prize of dinner at The Shard.
