Host Gethin Jones explained to viewers that Alex Scott would be returning to The One Show next week after her recent absence.
However there seemed to be a twist on the norm, with the TV duo heading to Scotland to present the programme live from Glasgow.
Fans of the BBC show have been worried about Alex, 37, who was missing on Monday and left her co-star Jermaine Jenas to host alone.
On Wednesday’s episode Jermaine explained that Alex would be returning to work on Thursday.
Shedding light on the situation, Gethin said: “Now next week I’ll be up in Glasgow with Alex Scott, presenting The One Show live from COP26 and doing a bit of reporting into Morning Live.”
Sam quipped: “Busy boy you Geth.”
He added: “I will be next week.”
Just yesterday, Jermaine explained that Alex would be returning to screens very soon.
The ex-football star said: “Earlier on in the week I mentioned that Alex Scott wasn’t feeling great and well hopefully she’s feeling a bit better.
“Hopefully she’s going to be back tomorrow and on the screens with Gabby Logan.”
On Monday, The One Show turned into chaos after BBC producers were unable to find a stand-in for Alex at last minute.
Without another presenter, the football pundit had no other choice but to go it alone.
Appearing on-screens by himself, he told viewers: “Alex Scott should be with me but unfortunately, she’s been hit, like so many, with that dreaded super cold so get well soon, Scotty.
He added: “Can’t wait to have you back!”
If Alex’s social media feed is anything to go by, then it seems the TV star has bounced back and fighting fit again.
Sharing behind-the-scenes action of the UEFA Women’s Euro draw, Alex alerted fans that she was back in action again.
She wrote: “Back at work and in rehearsals for the @uefawomenseuro draw today.”
In another snippet that was shared to her Instagram story, Alex’s glam squad were busy working their magic to preen her hair and makeup for the glitzy event.
