Ulrika Jonsson has vowed to ‘own’ her body after admitting she was put out of her ‘comfort zone’ when posing for a nude photo.
The 43-year-old shared the naked snap of herself in her garden in support of Bare Yourself, a men’s mental health campaign.
The star insisted she has to “accept” and “take ownership” of her body as it has “given life to four beautiful, ungrateful children”.
She opened up by saying: “I cannot avoid seeing the excess skin, the cellulite on the back of my legs, and my ever-decreasing bum.”
The TV presenter shared the picture of herself wearing nothing but a pair of green wellies while tending to her garden.
The star penned in a column for The Sun: “At my age, I really should know better than to draw attention to myself…”
“But before I knew it, I was asked whether I would consider doing the same: Bare myself for a good cause,” she added.
“And before I had a chance to engage my brain, I said: “Yes”.”
The star also revealed she spoke to her children before posing for the Instagram snap, and insisted she never asks her children for “permission” but for their “thoughts”.
After requesting help from friend Emma, she wanted to do something more than a “boring” photo in the bathroom.
Ulrika said: “But I felt, if you’re going to do something like this, you might as well push the wheelbarrow out.”
The mum continued: “With next to no make-up and filthy hair, there I stood, stark-b***k naked in my garden on a Sunday afternoon.
“Alone with my barrow, in the wilderness of my apple trees and the long grass backing on to fields that stretch as far as the horizon. After much faffing and trying to position handles in front of my tiny pancake-breasts, we captured some different little vignettes.”
Although at one point panic struck, after a man was spotted in a nearby field with his metal detector – but he was more consumed at what could have been hidden underground than what he’d see if he looked up.
The 43-year-old looked back at what her body had done for her through the years, from breastfeeding, going up and down in size “more often than a tart’s knickers” and suffering operations and “invasive treatments”.

She added: “So I looked at the pictures without any filters we took for @strongmenorg and I cannot avoid seeing the excess skin, the cellulite on the back of my legs, the diminished muscle on my forearm, my ever-decreasing bum, and my beloved varicose veins which I’ve had operated on no fewer than three times.”
She vows to ‘own’ her body and hopefully raise money and awareness for a well-deserving charity as well
