I'm A Celeb chiefs 'ditch five-star hotel for The Inbetweeners holiday resort'

I’m A Celeb stars may not be relaxing in the five-star Versace hotel after enduring the jungle this year, but instead the resort from The Inbetweeners film.

Celebrities might not be put up in the Palazzo Versace after weeks with critters, animal genitalia, and gruesome trials due to tough Coronavirus rules down under.

The surfers’ resort is popular with backpacking teens and famously attracted the rowdy teens from the hit Channel 4 show, Jay, Neil, Simon, and Will in the second film of the franchise.

ITV bosses are considering other options as the show returns this year, after 2020’s series featured in Gwyrch Castle in Abergele, North Wales, writes The Mirror.

The hotel, found on Queensland’s Gold Coast, is on the other side of the state border in New South Wales, away from the jungle camp and Bryon Bay.

If Covid-19 shuts borders again, the show could be “killed stone dead”, it’s been reported.

Celebs also face two weeks’ isolation on arrival before filming begins.

The show employs a 500-strong crew and is a boost for the local economy.

A source claims the stars may not stay at the Palazzo Versace hotel like they have previously
