Dancing on Ice star Lady Leshurr pleads not guilty to assaulting ex-partner

Dancing on Ice star Lady Leshurr has pleaded not guilty to assaulting her ex-partner.

The rapper appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court to enter her plea.

A trial date has been set for October 16 next year at the same court.

The star, best known for her series of Queen’s Speech raps on YouTube and her appearance on Dancing On Ice, was charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm last month after a fight broke out in the early hours of the morning.

It has been alleged that she attacked her ex girlfriend Sidnee Hussein and the woman’s new partner Chante Boyea in a late-night altercation in October this year.

Prosecutors allege the rapper, who’s real name is Melesha O’Garro, assaulted the couple at around 5am on October 22.

Thames Magistrates’ Court heard Boyea was driving to work along Knotts Green Road in Walthamstow, when she was flagged down by two women in need of help.

The complainant, who is said to be the partner of O’Garro’s ex-girlfriend Ms Hussein, let O’Garro inside before realising who she was when the musician reportedly began shouting at her in the vehicle.

The pair eventually left the car and are said to have became involved in a street fight in which O’Garro allegedly assaulted the left hand of Ms Boyea, who then phoned Ms Hussein, the court heard.
