How will this affect Vinny and Mandy’s relationship? Viewers will have to wait and see.
Although relationships are turning tense on-screen, away from Emmerdale, Jimmy King actor Nick Miles had a sweet romance with his wife away from the soap.
Here, Daily Star takes a closer look inside Nick’s love life.
Sweet proposal
Away from the limelight, Nick has been married to wife Stephanie Lumb since 2006.
The Emmerdale actor delighted fans when he made an announcement about their big day at the National Television Awards in the same year, saying: “I’m getting wed. It’s very exciting.”
Following the announcement, a source also spoke to The People about Nick and Stephanie’s nuptials, and shared their excitement for the big day.
The source said: “Nick’s over the moon.
“He’s been smiling all week and couldn’t wait to break the news.”
Home life
Although Nick and Stephanie tend to keep their private lives away from the public eye, the actor has given some rare glimpses into their home life in the past.
It is known that the couple live in West Witton, within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where they have resided for more than a decade.
Taking to Twitter, the actor also made a joke about their home life during the pandemic, by sharing a photograph of him with painted nails in their garden.
He captioned the post: “Wife’s boredom levels have gone through the roof.”
Local issues
Nick has spoken openly about being upset regarding local issues in the Yorkshire Dales, saying he was left “heartbroken” by people burning moorland near the couple’s home.
The Daily Star reported that “Every year people ignite the moors to encourage new growth of heather to feed grouse reared for shooting.”
However, speaking to The Mirror about the practice, Nick said: “We are told not to burn wood in our stoves but we see them setting fire to heather which damages the environment. It depresses me every time I see it.
“It is heartbreaking when you are on top of a hill and see five different fires with emissions going up into the atmosphere and knowing underneath it is a deep peat bog, a vital sink for carbon.”
New addition to the family
The Express previously reported that it is not thought that Nick and Stephanie have any children together, or from previous relationships.
However, they do have two sweet members of the family, including a West Highland Terrier.
They also welcomed a new border terrier puppy into their home recently, who is thought to be named Dora.
Nick regularly shares sweet snaps of Dora on Twitter, with his current banner picture showing a sweet snap of his two pooches together in a field.
