MAFS Australia star risks horror accident as he narrowly avoids kitchen blunder

Married At First Sight Australia fans watched in horror as newly wed Layton Mills narrowly avoided a kitchen blunders.

The groom tried to fix a toaster in his and wife Melinda’s apartment by planning to stick a knife into it, until he decided that wouldn’t be too wise.

As the toaster began to fume, Layton took the appliance onto their balcony, altering Melinda. She came into the room confused and in shock, asking why he thought that would be a good idea.

Similarly, fans were just as confused as Layton explained how the toaster broke in the first place.

“Layton trying to light a candle with a toaster??? Then putting a knife on the toaster?” one tweeted. “He sounds like a bright spark.”

Layton nearly suffered a dangerous accident

Another put: “What was Layton thinking,” while a third echoed the response, writing: “Light a candle, using a toaster and a bit of paper? Ok, kids don’t try this at home.”

A fourth wrote: “Did Layton really try and set fire to an electrical appliance!!??”

Later in the show the couple took part in intimacy classes prompted by sexologist and love expert on the show, Alessandra Rampolla.

While they were challenged to stare into each other’s eyes for five minutes, Melinda slammed Layton for not “being in the moment,” leading to her storming off.

“When you’re ready to be present in this relationship, let me know,” she told him.

To make up for his mistake, Layton treated Melinda to a sweet salsa dancing class which left her feeling besotted by his efforts.

Melinda and Layton have come far since they started the show earlier this month. Melinda made it clear that she wasn’t physically attracted to Layton at their wedding, despite his charm.

She made a cutting comment, telling producers that he was “punching.”

However, after their first dance and a night of intimacy, Melinda warmed to Layton and the duo have become the “power couple” of the show.
