Paris Hilton fans sure they’ve heard her ‘real voice’ as it changes midway through show

Paris Hilton had fans convinced they’ve finally heard her “real” voice as she dropped her ‘persona’ partway through an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

The star’s iconic drawl began when she shot to fame on The Simple Life, with her famous LA girl persona.

Around 43 seconds into a now-viral TikTok clip, Paris was chatting to the chat show host about her wedding to husband Carter Reum.

Paris’ voice became much deeper and more casual compared to her normal hushed whisper during the segment.

In the past, Paris has confessed that she was simply “playing a character” with her “ditzy blonde” accent.

She told 7News while promoting her 2020 documentary I Am Paris: “This entire time I have been playing a character so the world has never truly known who I am.

“The real me is someone who is actually brilliant. I’m not a dumb blonde, I’m just really good at pretending to be one.

“I don’t want to be remembered for some airhead, but the businesswoman I am.”

Paris admitted to fans: “I actually have a low voice in real life, everybody!” when the Today Show hosts assumed she’d simply been recording new music in the studio and was suffering from tired vocal cords.

Over in the UK, This Morning presenter Alison Hammond confessed to the star: “Even your voice is not the same as what I remember. Just hearing you now, this is you, isn’t it?”

Speaking in her low tone, Paris said: “Yeah. This is my real voice. That was just a character.”

She added: “I just think that for a long time, people have misunderstood and underestimated me, but I can understand – playing that character, of course they were going to assume otherwise.”

Paris said she got “stuck” in the character, with her persona acting as a “mask” to conceal her “naturally shy” personality.

She explained: “The Simple Life was the first of its kind – we had no idea what we were getting into.”
