An animal welfare charity has offered Katie Price £5,000 to stop owning pets following the deaths of several animals in her care.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said they are willing to hand the sum of cash over to the mum-of-five should she sign a legally-binding agreement promising never to buy another furry friend. At least seven of former glamour model Katie’s pets have died in recent years – including three dogs.
Last month the 45-year old reportedly gave away her latest puppy Tank after she deemed “it doesn’t look cute on Instagram” and replaced it with a Sphynx kitten. PETA had previously hit out at the star in 2023 after she appeared to slap Tank off screen during a TikTok live broadcast with her fans.

At the time, Katie could be seen raising her hand towards the animal, with viewers claiming they heard a “smack”. During the alleged incident Katie said: “Get off! You’re sitting on my jumpers, my love jumpers that I love. Get off. It’s hectic in here.”
Now, in a letter to Katie, PETA Vice President Elisa Allen has said: “While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned. Whatever you may offer as reasons for their suffering, relinquishment, or demise, the fact is that you are consistently harming these sensitive, sentient individuals, and I hope you agree that this is a solution.”
The letter attempted to persuade Katie by explaining that signing the agreement would be applauded by her fans and would send out a strong message regarding animals’ best interests.
Past tragic incidents involving Katie’s pets include her French bulldog Rolo suffocating after getting stuck in an electric armchair in July 2020, and her Alsatian Sparkle being killed on a busy road after escaping from her previous home. One of her horses was killed on the same road in 2017, meanwhile after escaping from a field.
And in 2018, Katie took to Instagram to share news of the death of her one-year-old German Shepherd. She penned: “I’m absolutely devastated, heartbroken, my faithful loving family dog’s life Queenie has been shortened as she was killed by a heartless delivery driver who ran into our dog seeing her struggle and drove off without telling us and left her to die very disappointed a human being can be this heartless!”

More recently, Katie’s protection dog Blade died in June prompting PETA to hit out to declare she had “blood on her hands”. Elisa Allen told MailOnline in the aftermath: “After a seventh animal died in her custody, Katie Price should be facing more than the court of public opinion – she should face a court of law and be banned for life from keeping animals.
“PETA urges authorities to look into Blade’s death and reminds the public that it’s not just Price who has blood on her hands. Greedy breeders who keep selling or ‘gifting’ animals to her are also to blame, as they know full well what the likely outcome will be.”
Daily Star has contacted a representative for Katie Price to comment.
