Speaking to Daily Star, the actress gushed: “It was really exciting that I was coming back into a story that’s in its element. I come back and I’m being smacked over the head and being held hostage in the basement. I haven’t just come back in in a taxi have I”

“I feel like she’s bringing a bit of light in terms of comedy and the drama is not calming down anytime soon. There’s so many new people for Liberty to meet so the world is her oyster. I’d love Liberty to find a new love.”

In recent scenes, Liberty exposed Dilly Harcourt’s (Emma Johney-Smith) connection to Sienna’s father Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) Wednesday’s episode (February 7), which is now available to watch on Channel 4, followed in the aftermath of Dilly trapping Liberty in the basement and knocking her unconscious.

Meanwhile, Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) told Sienna he was walking away from the Harcourts for good and encouraged her to do the same if she wanted him to stay in her life. Sienna soon realised she couldn’t simply walk away from Dilly because she found her sister Liberty’s suitcase nearby, instead of being in New Zealand.

When she confronted Dilly to find out where Rafe and Liberty were, the new village villain cried out that she’d had no choice but to kill Rafe. During the long-awaited showdown between Dilly and Sienna, Dilly was forced to finally admit that she was Rafe’s wife, not his sister.

Dilly also confessed that she’d had to murder Rafe once she realised he was in love with Sienna, as well as admitting to taking Liberty hostage. “You have to let me explain,” Dilly begged. “It was an accident!”

As Sienna desperately tried to get to Liberty, her sister had finally woken up and was untying herself. She accidentally knocked over some papers, only to discover a photo and birth certificate proving Dilly was actually Patrick Blake’s daughter Cordelia Blake. At the same time, Sienna struggled with Dilly on the staircase over her purse. Liberty burst in just in time to see Dilly fall from the staircase and crash onto the piano below. “Sienna, she’s your sister,” Liberty called out. Will Dilly survive?
