Simon Cowell thinks fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden needs to stop looking at herself so much.
The 53-year-old is set to explode back onto our screens on Saturday evening with the 17th series of one of the nation’s most popular TV shows. But while the filming process for the auditions is done and dusted, she may need to heed her boss’ words of wisdom ahead of the live shows.
During a segment of Amanda’s radio show, Heart Breakfast, Simon was asked what his co-star needs to do less of, and his reaction left her in hysterics. He couldn’t help take a jovial swipe at his fellow judge.

During the segment, Jamie Theakston asked Amanda to guess what the music mogul would say. She predicted a whole host of potential issues, including, her toilet humour, inane chat, laughing, or pushing him when she laughs.
However, despite making a ridiculous amount of guesses, the talent scout failed to correctly identify the one thing that really grinds Simon’s gears. The producer exclaimed: “I would like Amanda to do less off… Looking at herself on social media whilst we’re filming and focus on the contestants.”
Luckily, Amanda took the jibe very well. She responded: “I constantly say to him, ‘When you come on Heart Breakfast, it is the biggest radio show for breakfast, so you need to come on our show. Forget the rest’.”
The pair appeared at a BGT photo call together on Tuesday (April 16) at the Ham Yard Hotel in London alongside Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon, looking excited for the start of the show.
Amanda’s smiles are remarkably impressive, considering her recent feud with Sharon Osbourne. The Celebrity Big Brother contestant called the BGT judge an ‘ill-informed sycophant’ in a scathing social media rant after she stuck up for Simon, whom Sharon had bashed during her time in CBB.
Giving her perspective to Daily Mail’s Weekend Magazine, Amanda said: “I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon – he’s the person who’s given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn’t have had.
“It’s bitter and pathetic. It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background – just stabby, stabby, stabby.”
