Jacqueline Jossa hails therapy for 'saving her marriage' after cheating scandal

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! queen of the jungle Jacqueline Jossa revealed that “therapy saved her marriage” to Dan Osborne.

Last year the 28-year-old’s world was turned upside down after accusations surfaced to suggest that her TOWIE star husband had not been faithful.

What should have been a joyful occasion after being crowned the winner of the ITV favourite, soon turned sour after Jacqueline had to face a number of infidelity claims as she left camp.

During lockdown, Jacqueline fled the marital home to get her head around what had happened and to “take some space”.

Now that six months have passed since she returned to the home she shares with Dan, the EastEnders actress found the courage to explain how she managed to get her relationship back on track.

The soap star confessed that “therapy saved her marriage” after Dan’s infidelity had caused a lot of pressure to mount.

Speaking to The Sun, she explained: “I felt like there was a lot of pressure on me.

“I couldn’t be in the same house as Dan. Therapy is a really good thing.”

The reality star also issued a stern message to those who sold stories to the press so easily.

She said: “Listen, you can’t stop the bitches selling stories — that is fact, I know that.

“They can say what they want, Daniel and I know the truth.

“Seeing things taken out of context was really hard, because a lot of it was stuff from the past we had already dealt with. That’s why I’ve not said anything until now.”

Jacqueline said she could “bare to be in the same house as Dan” at one point

The TV star, who was better known for her character Lauren Branning on the BBC soap, delved into what was going through her mind at the time revelations came to light.

The mum-of-two previously spoke to the publication after she’d taken some time out from the family home.

At the time, the starlet felt like everybody wanted a piece of her and to see her fail.

It wasn’t until lockdown hit, that Jacqueline actually found the time to sit down and digest everything that had happened, allowing time for the couple to have in-depth conversations.

It was at this point that the reality star turned to therapy for support with understanding her feelings.

Speaking about the moment she decided to walk out, Jac explained “there was no big argument” and “there were no other girls”, it was just a coping mechanism, to remove herself from the situation.
