Captain Sir Tom Moore died at the grand age of 100 yesterday after contracting pneumonia with the coronavirus already in his body.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson led the country in gathering together to clap for the veteran, paying tribute to his incredible life.
Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan was one of the first stars to share his emotional tribute to Captain Sir Tom, and he made sure to thank him on his Twitter page tonight.
“Lots of clapping in my part of West London,” he posted to his followers. “Great to hear. Thanks for everything, Captain Tom.”
Katie Price also shared a video of herself and her three children Princess, Jett and Bunny cheering and clapping in their doorway.
The 42-year-old’s boyfriend Carl Woods, 31, could also be seen in the background.
Piers Morgan, who has been a longtime supporter of the war veteran, echoed the sentiment, writing: “Lots of clapping in my part of West London.
“Great to hear. Thanks for everything, Captain Tom.”

Musical superstar Rick Astley followed suit with a heartfelt post for the Captain.
“Captain Tom is a hero who’s kindness, courage & sincerity united a country around him when we needed him most,” the singer shared. “Thank you Sir for all that you have done & may you RIP.
“I’ll be on my doorstep at 6pm to clap for Captain Tom & for the NHS whom he wonderfully supported. #CaptainTom Rx.”
TV personalities and other celebs have come out in full force to share their thoughts for Captain Sir Tom and his family.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge also posted a petition to get a statue of the veteran erected in the UK.
Ant and Dec also shared: “The Saturday Night Takeaway hosts shared a touching tweet on Tuesday, writing: “Captain Sir Tom Moore. What a hero.
“You were a shining beacon of hope and an inspiration to us all when we needed it most. We thank you and salute you. Rest In Peace Sir.”
