The Chase host Bradley Walsh was left stunned during Wednesday’s edition of the hit ITV game show after contestant Josh admitted he had a crush on hard Chaser Paul Sinha.
Josh told Bradley he hoped he got to go head to head with Paul, who goes by the character name of The Sinnerman.
Asked who he would like to take on, first contestant Josh replied: “The Sinnerman. I think he is cute.”
Smiling as Bradley looked shocked, he added: “I admire a man in white… think Iwould make a mess myself.”
Unfortunately for Josh, it wasn’t Paul who came out to take the hot seat.
Instead, he was pitted against The Dark Destroyer – whose real name is Shaun Wallace.
Full of whit as ever, The Dark Destroyer quickly teased Josh.
Jumping on the fact the contestant works as a singer/songwriter, the Mastermind ace said: “Forget about songwriters block.
“You are about to get contestants block.”
Laughing, Josh replied: “I’ve never heard of that one before.”
Despite the tough talking, The Dark Destroyer proved no match for Josh who opted not to take either the high or low offer.
Keen to entice him closer to danger, the Chaser offered £28,000 for the prize pot.
However, after talking with the rest of his team he opted to stick with the £6,000 he had earned in the cash builder.
It seems he made the right choice as well.
Josh made it safely home without being caught and kicked things off by adding his £6K to the final fund.
However, from then on things didn’t quite go to plan.
Their second contestant quickly got caught leaving them to battle it out a woman down.
The Chase continues weekdays 5pm on ITV
