Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock has reportedly been left “distraught” after a thief stole her £40,000 engagement ring from her home.
The pregnant star was given the bejewelled gold ring as a gift from her football star fiancé Andre Grey.
An impressive piece of jewellery in and of itself, the band is bespoke, encrusted with diamonds and speckled with emeralds.
But more than its material value, the ring obviously carries huge sentiment, as Leigh-Anne’s fiancé Andre gave it to her when he proposed in May last year.
It’s been described as her “most treasured possession,” with an estimated value of £40,000 according to experts.
Police are currently looking into the alleged theft at the couple’s £4.5million home in Surrey, with a source telling The Sun: “[Leigh-Anne] is distraught.
“It was her engagement ring that was stolen which, obviously, had huge sentimental value.
“She accidentally left it out and when she came back, it was gone. It’s hugely upsetting anyone can behave in this manner.
“Leigh-Anne and Andre are doing all they can to get to the bottom of it, and get their ring back. It’s not about the money — it’s the principle.”
Surrey Police said that officers were called to the scene on May 13, after reports of an engagement ring theft were submitted.
The alleged offence is estimated to have taken place between 8am and 6pm, according to police.
Daily Star has contacted Leigh-Anne’s representatives for comment.
Andre originally proposed to Leigh-Anne while celebrating their fourth anniversary, in front of a beautiful smattering of fairy lights in their back garden.
In the engagement snaps, Leigh-Anne showed off the rock on her finger as the couple held each other in a tight embrace.
The Watford FC hunk could be seen down on one knee while Leigh-Anne covered her face with her hands in the emotional snapshots.
Andre wrote alongside his Instagram post: “Let the caption speak for itself this time. Hasta la muerte” – roughly translated to ‘I’m gonna love you until I die’ in Spanish.
