Dumped Love Island star Georgia Townend says that Hugo Hammond “holds a candle” for Chloe Burrows after viewers believe he’s in love with her after Thursday night’s recoupling.
During the recoupling twist on Thursday, Georgia was left standing before the firepit without a partner and sent on her way home, after potential love interest Hugo chose to couple up with Chloe Burrows instead.
After Hugo’s ballsy script directly spitting at Toby Aromolan for his mistreatment of Chloe – fans are convinced that the P.E teacher has fallen for her.
Ex-Islander Georgia has also hinted that she thought there was something between the two as well.

Speaking in her post-villa interview, Georgia said: “I think we would have been a good match; he was really eloquent, polite.
“I’m not sure why there wasn’t a spark. I think he holds a candle for Lucinda and Chloe…
“I think perhaps unless he’s honest with himself and really goes for that, he’s not going to even explore other options and he just wants to protect his friends and make sure they’re ok, which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just obviously in this instance it’s at my expense.

“Maybe he doesn’t really know what he’s looking for.”
Fans also suggested that Hugo and Chloe could have been into each other by analysing their cosy chat on the day beds, where Hugo rubbed his hands on Chloe’s thigh as they spoke.
Jokingly chatting about potentially coupling up with each other, Hugo said: “I’m going to have to stick it on you.”
Chloe added: “Do you know what, I’ll stick it right back.”

“Yeah, let’s do it,” Hugo replied.
Chloe said: “Why not Hugo?”
Hugo replied: “Been there, done that, got the snog. Got the badge.”
Then Chloe said: “Might as well do it again.”
Fans took to Twitter to debate their relationship and discussed it between themselves.
One said: “My new conspiracy theory is that Hugo has actually liked Chloe this entire time and he thinks his moment is about to arrive”
A second added: “Hugo playing captain save-a-chloe was a tactical move, he’s been PLOTTING on this moment. This man has had a strategy the entire time. His #LoveIsland journey starts NOW.”
