Bob Saget's wife Kelly Rizzo 'completely shattered' following his death aged 65

Bob Saget’s widow Kelly Rizzo has told how she is ‘completely shattered and in disbelief’ following the actor’s tragic death aged 65.

American stand-up comedian, Saget, was found unresponsive at his hotel room in Orlando, US on Monday midway through his stand-up tour.

Saget, who is known for his role as Danny Tanner in sitcom Full House, was pronounced dead on the scene – and there was no sign of drug use or foul play, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Speaking about the tragedy Kelly, 42, told People: “My whole heart. Bob was my absolute everything. I am so completely shattered and in disbelief. I am so deeply touched by the outpouring of love and tribute from our friends, family, his fans and his peers.

“When the time is right and when this news is not as raw, I look forward to sharing more of Bob with the world. Sharing how much he meant to me, all of those around him, and how much all of his fans and friends meant to him as well. Thank you for respecting my privacy at this time.”

A source previously told how she was “in shock and processing everything” in the wake of her spouse’s death.

They also said the couple chatted “in the early morning hours on Sunday” and believed he was due to fly home the next day.

They said Bob “was so excited coming off of a great show and he sounded really happy”.

The insider claimed when Kelly hadn’t heard from him, she phoned the hotel, who sent security to his room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel.

He was pronounced dead Sunday in a Ritz-Carlton hotel room, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to TMZ, a member of hotel security knocked on Bob’s door multiple times before going in around 4pm, where they found Bob lying face-up on the bed, with his left arm across his chest and right on the bed.

His passing comes after he performed a two-hour show Saturday at Jacksonville’s Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on his I Don’t Do Negative Comedy Tour.

Several of his celebrity friends and loved ones were snapped on Monday visiting the Brentwood home he shared with Kelly.

They included John Stamos and Candace Cameron Bure, who Bob starred alongside in Full House.
