Ulrika Jonsson lifts lid on sexual 'dalliances' with women in candid admisson

Ulrika Jonsson has lifted the lid on her sex life, admitting that she’s found herself getting rather steamy with women in the past.

The former weather presenter, 54, explained that she is proud of Love Island winner Amber Gill who recently declared that “men make her ill” and she has now “switched teams”.

Now, Ulrika has spoken candidly about her sexual experiences with women before saying that many other people will feel liberated to talk openly just one week after the 50th celebrations of Pride.

Speaking openly, the mum-of-four went on to admit that there is a “trend” of women who say they will be “switching teams” after bad experiences with blokes.

Writing in her column for The Sun, Ulrika penned: “I, myself, like many other women, have had a few dalliances with women in the past.

“I never pursued another woman — things just happened and they were most certainly borne out of sexual desire.

“I haven’t, to date, felt an impetus to turn my attention to a relationship with another woman based on my despair of men.”

But Ulrika says she believes it could be “insulting” for women to say they will consider “switching teams”, saying that it could be perceived that they would be “trying the second-best option”.

The former Gladiators star explained that having spoken to her lesbian friends, they feel it is “disingenuous and disparaging” towards them, while Ulrika feels it is “lazy”.

But she was keen to stress that she wasn’t attempting to label Amber Gill’s sexuality after the reality star said she doesn’t want to be placed into a box, leaving Ulrika to ask “what is it?”

While watching an episode of Love Island, Amber shared her thoughts with her Twitter followers, writing: “Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life.”

She went on to say: “Watching men makes me feel ill I couldn’t put myself through it again.”

The reality star later expanded on her comments on the Secure The Insecure Podcast.

Amber said: “I’m making a joke because all those men are now acting crazy and I’m just glad that I don’t deal with that anymore…

“I’ll say what I want to say when I’m ready to share, there’s no need to speculate or anything, you know, we can all see like, you know what I’m saying.

“When I’m ready to say, well, I want to say that I will… I don’t want to feel like I want to say anything whilst I’m single.”
