The One Show won’t just be missing host Alex Jones, instead the BBC One show has been removed from the channel in a major schedule shake-up.
Instead of the programme kicking off at it’s usual allotted time of 7pm, Thursday’s instalment was completely missing.
The Opening Ceremony for The Commonwealth Games featured on the TV guide, with just Eastenders being moved over to the broadcasting giants sister channel BBC two.

Welsh presenter Alex and her co-star Jermaine Jenas will both be taking some needed time out from their hosting duties as they embark on a “summer break”.
The twosome joined forces for a selfie after finishing Wednesday’s show telling fans they wouldn’t be returning for a while.
Alex penned: “And that is a wrap till the end of August.”
It seems the summer break could have landed at a better time or have come any sooner for TV star Alex – who opened up this week about things getting on top of her at the moment.
In the honest post she explained that things had been a bit “tricky” for her family at the moment and she was grateful for the floods of kind messages issued by fans.
She penned: “Things have been a bit tricky for us recently and in all honesty, I haven’t had time to be on here between working and the children but I randomly logged on and saw all your lovely messages gently asking if we were all ok.”

She added: “I was touched by your kindness and so I just wanted to check in and say thank you, and that even though life has been a bit challenging, we are ok and still managing to enjoy the beginning of the holidays and there’s still plenty to smile about!
Finishing up the heartfelt post, Alex wrote: (I’ll pop some stuff on my stories) #whenlifegivesyoulemons #thekindnessofstranger.”
