Laura Whitmore is set to front a new dating show – just weeks after quitting Love Island.
The star has landed a big-money deal to narrate Date Night for Prime Video.
It will follow singletons looking for love via an app at home – just like people do on apps like Tinder.

And, in a twist, they’ll be getting advice from friends and family to help them find “The One”.
Producer Richard Bond said: “Date Night is an innovative new format that will resonate with the millions of people who have been swiping left and right in the hope of finding love over the past decade.”
Laura has signed up to do the show despite finding it tough fronting Love Island for three series.
After quitting the ITV2 series, she said: “I had to think about it for my own mental-health side, because I love the show, but it comes with a lot of s**t. It’s a bit exhausting and it’s tough.”
The mum-of-one also said: “There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects.”
The next season, the second winter version, will film in South Africa early next year to start 2023 with a bang.
With Laura out, ITV were looking for a new replacement – and they landed on their feet with Maya Jama.
Fans of the dating show had been begging for bosses to bring in Maya as the host ever since Caroline Flack’s tragic death.
And it sounds like Laura is all for Maya taking the helm, as she said online: “Yes girl! So delighted for you! You’re gonna be fab.”
It was also reported that the 2022 winner Ekin-Su Cululoglu had been approached for the hosting job, but she claimed she turned it down as she didn’t feel ready.
She will be back on screens for Dancing On Ice, though, so it seems she would have been double-booked anyway.
