Acid-tongued judge Craig Revel-Horwood admitted he didn’t think he’s “be alive” for the 20th series of Strictly Come Dancing but revealed BBC bosses pay him to “look this good.

During Thursday’s visit to the ballroom studio, Janette Manrara welcomed viewers back to the hugely popular evening show where she discussed how the contestants have been getting on in the training studios so far

This evening, the brunette beauty invited the long-serving judge onto the sofa where she asked him about his thoughts on the ballroom competition after all these years.

As he sat down with the former pro dancer, he joked that he was surprised to still be a live 20 years after the show first launched back in 2004.

She asked the judge: “It’s the 20th series of Strictly Come Dancing. You’ve been here since day one – did you think you’d still be here all these years later?”

Craig confessed: “Darling I didn’t think I’d still be alive, in fact I’m almost as old as Len [Goodman] was when he started – isn’t that bad? I thought he was old then!”

Janette quickly reassured him that he “looked fabulous” as he showed off his clear skin and wrinkle-free complexion to the camera.

It was at this point that he admitted to “treating” himself to some cosmetic procedures that have maintained his youthful look for so long.

He revealed: “Well, I know, I have the money now to treat myself.”
