Strictly's Molly Rainford not scared of Craig Revel-Horwood as she's faced Simon Cowell

Molly Rainford has hinted she isn’t too scared of hard-to-please Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel-Horwood.

The singer said she would be able to cope with the famously strict BBC judge given that she’s already dealt with the likes of “big teddy bear” Simon Cowell on Britain’s Got Talent.

Molly, 21, was just 11 years old when she met music mogul Simon and reached the final of BGT back in 2012 – finishing in sixth place.

But she’s since been dazzling a new set of TV judges on this year’s series of Strictly alongside new show-pro Carlos Gu.

Molly spoke to Daily Star and other press about the Strictly judges ahead of the series, and it seemed she was feeling confident she could get on the right side of Craig.

Asked if she thought Simon or Amanda would be tuning in to watch their former finalist, Molly admitted it was a possibility but wasn’t sure as she answered: “Maybe.”

The singer said she hoped Craig would have a soft side as Simon turned out to be a “big teddy bear” during her successful BGT stint.

Molly said: “I got asked before ‘Am I scared for Craig’ as I’ve had Simon and I’m like ‘Well, I know Simon had a little soft side’, and he was a really like big teddy bear in the end, so hopefully Craig’s the same!”

Molly clearly impressed talent-scout Simon as he decided to give her a scholarship to the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School after the sixth series – meaning he paid for her education.

The Strictly star landed in the dreaded dance-off against DJ Tyler West and Dianne Buswell on Sunday night (November 20) – but she was saved by all three judges apart from Anton du Beke.

Head judge Shirley Ballas made the final call as she opted to save Molly and Carlos rather than Tyler, whom she’s regularly championed during the series.

She said “I’m so grateful to still be in the competition. Thank you to everyone that did vote for us, your continuous support means so much to both of us.”
