Ex-Emmerdale and Corrie star left ‘without pot to p**s in’ after being axed from soaps

One former Emmerdale and Coronation Street star has confessed he doesn’t have a “pot to p**s in” after being axed from both soaps.

Reece Dinsdale rose to fame as cobbles baddie Joe McIntyre in Coronation Street back in 2008, before taking on the role of Vinny Dingle’s abusive father Paul Ashdale in Emmerdale from 2020.

He has also appeared in everything from Waterloo Road to Life on Mars – and now occasionally pops back to the world of ITV soaps to act as a director.

“Today I invested all my savings into my dream machine. Not got a pot left to p**s in… but the dreams are now endless!”

“No matter how many times you do it, you’re always a little nervous & apprehensive for your first day. I guess it’s a good thing. The day I don’t feel that… will be the day I give it up.”

He later added: “For those of you who enjoy your #Emmerdale, you might be interested to hear that the two one hour episodes that I recently directed will be shown on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

“I’m very proud of them. Hope you enjoy!”

According to IMDb, Reece has directed a total of 19 episodes of Emmerdale, as well as four instalments of Corrie, since leaving both soaps.
