EastEnders’ Denny actor Bleu Landau has made a huge career U-turn almost three years after his character’s sad exit.
Bleu, 17, replaced Harry Hickles in the role of Sharon Watts’ son Dennis Rickman Jr on the BBC soap opera in 2015.
Born off-screen in 2006, Dennis – or Denny as he is affectionally referred to – is the son of Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman).

Denny was killed off in a boat accident aired over the 35th anniversary of EastEnders in February 2020, and now almost three years after filming his final scenes he has seemingly made a career U-turn.
Taking to Instagram to update his fans, Bleu shared a snap from the FA Youth Cup and said that he had just completed “round two” – meaning he is working his way up as a footballer.
He took part in the the Football Association’s Youth Challenge Cup, which is an English football competition run for under-18 sides, which is only for players between the age of 15 and 18.
He then also took to his Instagram stories to talk about a charity football match taking place at the weekend, with “loads of celebrities”.
The event at Chatham Town FC on Sunday (November 27) is to raise money for life saving heart surgery for a young child named Leilani.
Celebrity players include Jeremy Lynch, Calum Best, Dan Osborne, Jamie Ohara, Dean Gaffney, and James Argent – as well as Bleu.
The former EastEnders star urged everyone watching his story to go along and support the cause.
When doing his piece to camera, Bleu appeared more grown up and with a deeper voice too.
When he joined the cast of EastEnders, he was nominated for Best Young Performance at the 2017 British Soap Awards.
In 2017, he made his film debut in Guy Ritchie’s film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, he played Blue, Backlack’s son.
The actor and now-youth-footballer is also a model, and has modelled for the likes of Avon, M&S, La Petite, and River Island.
