Love Island's Ekin-Su reveals grisly Dancing on Ice injuries ahead of new series

Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu lifted her dress to display the grisly bruises and ‘lost toenail’ she sustained while practicing for the new series of Dancing on Ice.

Ekin-Su, who was joined by her boyfriend and fellow Love Island winner, Davide Sanclimenti, showed Good Morning Britain presenters Ranvir Singh and Ben Shephard how hard she’d been training for the competitive ITV show.

“It’s gone now but I’ve got bruises – and I’ve lost a toe!” she exclaimed.

Ranvir leaned in closer to inspect the dark marks along Ekin-Su’s leg, commenting: “Oh you’ve got bruises!”

After having a look at Ekin-Su’s injury, Ben quickly reassured her that she’d “lost a toenail, not a toe”.

Ekin-Su went on to describe what had happened that resulted in the missing toenail.

“I’ve lost a toenail, it went backwards but it’s great,” she said, smiling and laughing through the pain.

Davide, who has been supporting Ekin-Su as she takes on Dancing on Ice and as the pair launch their new TV show Homecomings, said she’d been working really hard.

“I see how much effort she puts in, she trains everyday,” he quipped.

However, Ekin-Su explained that despite her injuries she’s been “enjoying every second” of preparing for the show.

Pointing to her leg, she said: “That is going to explain how my training is going but I’m enjoying every second. I’m very competitive, I want everyone to do well and I’m having fun with it.”

Ekin-Su was confirmed for the Dancing On Ice 2023 line-up earlier this year and later shared a snap of her and her skating professional Brendyn Hatfield with the caption: “So n-ice to meet my partner @brendynhatfield for this years @dancingonice today…Let’s smash it partner.”

Speaking on GMB, Ekin-Su referred to Brendan as “such a nice guy”.

Ekin-Su and Davide’s new show Homecomings, which will see the couple explore their Turkish and Italian roots, comes to ITV2 on Monday at 9pm.
