Simon Cowell admits he's secretly a huge fan of Poirot and watches it constantly

Simon Cowell is hooked on detective drama Poirot.

The star, 63, reckons the Agatha Christie series is dead good.

He said: “I am a big fan of Poirot. I watch episodes all the time. I like anything by Agatha Christie. I love watching retro stuff.”

Simon has seen detective Hercule Poirot, who was played by David Suchet, 76, pin down murderers countless times on the hit drama.

“But I still love watching it.”

Simon is also a big fan of royal drama The Crown.

And he has previously admitted to spending hours and hours watching cartoons.

He said: “I bath twice a day. I find them relaxing. I smoke in them. I have TV on.

“I love watching The Flintstones. So that’s great for me with Eric because I’m now starting to introduce him to all the things that I liked.”

Poirot is one of Simon’s favourite ever TV shows

Meanwhile, Simon is caught up in Britain’s Got Talent drama as David Walliams is said to be leaving the hit ITV talent competition after ten years.

Speaking to the Daily Star at a press event, Simon was asked about his fellow judge and hit back: “Can we not go there? If you don’t mind.

“I think for me, the most important thing – and I had this conversation the other day. It’s always about talent.

When asked if David would feature on the 2023 BGT panel, he cryptically responded: “Ask me in a few weeks.”

This came after a clip of David making offensive comments about BGT contestants was leaked to the public, where he was said to have called one a “c***” and about another: “She thinks you want to f**k her, but you don’t.”
