Katy Perry, 38, has compared performing at the Super Bowl to the feeling before giving birth.
The Grammy-winning singer, who performed her hit melodies at the Super Bowl in 2015, has recently dished the dirt about her stellar stint, which she said felt like being on “the edge of death”.
The California Gurls star spoke about her what it was like to perform at such a high-profile event in a new Vogue Life in Looks interview.

Lifting the lid on the widely-anticipated event, Katy expressed that she had the most “intense” feeling ever.
Katy confessed: “Playing the Super Bowl was really the most intense feeling ever,” before adding: “But I was like ‘Oh, this must be the feeling before you give birth or when you’re on the edge of death.'”
The Dark Horse singer nostalgically reflected on one of her most iconic outfits from the performance – a red, white, yellow, and blue striped matching skirt and crop top set.
During her stint, Katy donned the memorable look for four minutes – in her 12-and-a-half-minute set – as she performed her hit banger Teenage Dream.
Katy admitted: “This was a collaboration with Jeremy Scott, with myself, and Johnny Wujek.”

She added: “It takes after the classic primary colour beach ball you see during summer and at the beach.”
Katy also confessed to getting a spray tan for her California Gurls music video that went from giving her sun-kissed skin to experiencing a massive beauty mishap.
“Rarely do I get spray tans,” Katy said before adding: “And typically, you’re supposed to get them the night before, right? Well, I just didn’t have time, so I got them the day of my music video.”
She said that her skin gradually changed colour throughout the day, getting “oranger, and oranger, and oranger,” and required post-production fixes.
Bursting out into fits of laughter, Katy added: “We had to spend so much extra money on colour grading this music video,” before advising her fans: “Kids, just a little tip: fake tans, the night before.”
Elsewhere, this year’s Super Bowl saw Rihanna take centre stage and is where she announced the news’ of her second pregnancy.
