Gemma Collins is renowned for being one of the fieriest characters in all of British television, but she was no match for Joan Collins, when the pair went head-to-head during an episode of ‘Late Night Lycett’.
The reality TV icon was slapped by the 89-year-old actress, to the delight of host, Joe Lycett.
The comedian ordered the pair to act out a scene that would not have been out of place in either Dame Joan’s, Dynasty or a night out down south with Collins and the rest of her TOWIE pals.

Summoning up all of the rage of her counterpart, Alexis Colby, who was constantly conjuring up sinister plans against her ex-husband Blake, the actress proved she could still nail a pretty fierce role.
Reading from an interestingly-written script, Gemma, clearly thriving in the situation, asserted: “Step aside, Dame Joan! There’s a new Collins in town.”
It goes without saying, Dame Joan wasn’t having that.
She fired back: “I’m the original O.G,” to which Gemma said: “You are, honey. I’ll give you that but move over b**ch, because I’m here.”
At this point, the 89-year-old lost her marbles. She delivered a well-timed and ultimately fake slap. Regardless, it still resulted in massive laughter from the audience.
In other Gemma news, she recently revealed that she intends to undergo genetic testing after her mother, also named Joan Collins, secretly battled cancer.
In 2016, experts diagnosed her mum with ductal carcinoma in situ – in which the cells in the lining of the breast tissue become cancerous.
Consequently, Gemma is planning to be screened for the BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene mutation, in order to put her mind at ease over the potential of this happening to her.
In an interview with The Sun on Sunday newspaper, she said: “I would love to go for the BRCA test — peace of mind is key.
“My mum is now a breast cancer survivor, and let this be a message to everyone out there — no one is invincible from it.
“Your health is your wealth, and with any lump, you’re never going to be wasting the doctor’s time.
“These services are in place, and we pay into these services — they are there to help us.”
Gemma now checks her breasts on a daily basis and encourages other women to do the same thing.
