Billie Eilish Explains Why She Got Emotional Watching Her Apple TV Documentary

    Apple Original Films

Set to premiere on February 26, ‘Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry’ promises to offer a deeply intimate look at the ‘Therefore I Am’ hitmaker’s rise to global superstardom.

    Feb 16, 2021
AceShowbiz – Billie Eilish “cried out of joy” after watching her Apple TV+ documentary.
The 19-year-old pop megastar banned her family – including her sibling and regular collaborator FINNEAS – from seeing “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry” until she had seen it herself, because she thought she’d be “mortified” by some of the scenes.
However, she actually felt elated by how it captured what she was going through in “such a beautiful, intimate way”.
In a new clip advertising the film, Billie said, “We were in my living room. I was like, ‘Nope, nobody’s allowed to see it — not my family — nobody’s allowed to see it until I’ve seen it, cos I knew there was some stuff in there that I was gonna be mortified by.”
“S**t happened. I had a stomachache the entire day, but I cried out of joy for a lot of it. I never would have thought that anyone would be able to capture exactly what was going on in such a beautiful, intimate way.”

The “Therefore I Am” hitmaker – who has been open about her battle with depression and suicidal thoughts – recently admitted it was “pretty brutal to relive” some of the moments.
“It’s really about my life, me, in such a way that I was not expecting, and was pretty brutal to relive,” she said. “I was going through hell in certain parts of my life, and I had no idea anyone was seeing it. The fact that they have footage of it and you can see my emotions…”.

A press release states that the R.J. Cutler-helmed documentary “tells the true coming-of-age story of the singer-songwriter and her rise to global superstardom … the documentary offers a deeply intimate look at this extraordinary teenager’s journey, at just 17 years old, navigating life on the road, on stage, and at home with her family, while writing, recording and releasing her debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?'”
“Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry” is set to premiere on February 26.

Jared Leto Almost Signed Billie Eilish After Being Wowed by Her Performance

    WENN

The 30 Seconds to Mars lead vocalist claims he almost took the ‘Bad Guy’ hitmaker and her brother Finneas under his wing when they were still unknown artists.

    Jan 28, 2021
AceShowbiz – Jared Leto came close to signing Billie Eilish and her brother and collaborator Finneas when they were unknown artists after inviting them to perform at an intimate dinner party.
The “Suicide Squad” star recalls originally meeting the siblings through his married pals, film producer Emma Ludbrook and agent Tom Windish, and then recruiting the young musicians to play for guests including Leonardo DiCaprio.
“They weren’t signed, and I thought that maybe I would try and sign them, they were so incredibly talented and just special people,” he told America’s “The Late Late Show with James Corden”. “The music is one thing, but I think they’re just incredibly intelligent, really empathetic, just really good people, and I quite like them a lot.”
Leto reveals the duo, which has since soared to pop superstardom, left his celebrity pals in awe after performing at his Los Angeles home.

“At one point, they played at my house,” he said. “I had a little dinner for, like, 12 people and I said, ‘Hey, will you guys come and play a couple of songs?’ And they were, like, ‘Yeah, sure.’ ”
“They showed up… and played the most heartbreakingly beautiful music… It shouldn’t have sounded that good; it was impossible that it sounded that good.”
“I remember Leo DiCaprio was there and a couple of other people and they were just, like, ‘How did you find these people and, like, who are they?’ Everyone was just jaws on the floor, 12 people max at my place…”
Leto, who also performs with his band 30 Seconds to Mars, didn’t explain why he never ended up signing Eilish and Finneas, but added, “(They’re) just great people. I’m huge fans, too.”

Billie, who sings mostly in Spanish on the track, revealed during her appearance on Apple Music’s Zane Lowe on Thursday, January 21 that she involved her entire family when she worked on the English lyrics. In addition to her brother and collaborator Finneas, the Grammy-winning artist sat down with her mother and father in the studio after their Friday tradition of dinner for the final English lyrics.
“So my mom, my dad, Finneas, me, Finneas’ girlfriend Claudia, we all came down to the studio, and we listened, and me and Finneas were like, ‘Should we just write this line right now?’ ” the Grammy-winning artist shared. “So I was sitting in the room with my entire family. We both, all of us, including my dad and my mom, they were like, ‘What if it was like….’ We were all giving ideas. So technically they should have a writing credit, because we all wrote that line right at the end.”
Billie added that she managed to convince Rosalia to let her sing in Spanish. “I remember when we were writing the song, I remember her saying something about, ‘It should be in English.’ And I was like, ‘No, no, no. It should be in Spanish. It’s so beautiful.’ And I’ve always loved music that isn’t in English,” the “Bad Guy” singer told Zane. “I like tons of music from languages I don’t even speak. … I’ve been really intrigued by it pretty much my whole life. There’s so many Russian songs I like, and Spanish and French.”

    Dec 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – Billie Eilish has cancelled her entire “2021 Where Do We Go? World Tour”.
The pop superstar previously axed the March (20) dates of her tour due to the coronavirus pandemic, but had been hoping the situation would have improved enough for her to head back out on the road later this year with a European tour scheduled to begin in early July.
The “Therefore I Am” hitmaker then decided to postpone the shows until 2021, starting in March.
However, she and her team have now decided to call off the whole run and provide refunds to her fans.
In a statement posted on her social media pages, the Grammy-winner announced, “Hi guys. i wish that I could have seen you on tour this year. i’ve missed performing for you and being on stage so much i can’t even tell you.”

“Keep an eye on your email for more info from your point of purchase and when we’re ready and it’s safe we’ll let you know when everyone will be able to purchase tickets again for the next tour. (sic)”
She signed off, “I love you so much, stay safe, drink lots of water, wear a mask (sic).”
The tour originally included a string of shows in the U.K. this summer, including three nights at Manchester Arena and four at The O2 Arena in London.
While the “Bad Guy” hitmaker’s European tour was set to kick-off in Spain on 9 July.
Billie initially began her tour in North America at the beginning of March as planned, but after playing her run of shows in Miami, Florida, she was forced to announce the postponement of the rest of the month’s concerts, as well as those scheduled for April, before shifting the run to 2021.

Billie Eilish Sneaks Into Empty Mall in 'Therefore I Am' Music Video

    [embedded content]

The ‘When the Party’s Over’ singer is tapped to return to the American Music Awards stage for this year’s ceremony on Sunday, November 22 to perform her brand new song.

    Nov 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – Billie Eilish finds the perks of the coronavirus lockdown in a freshly-released music video for her new song “Therefore I Am”. The Grammy Award-winning artist is exploring a deserted mall all by herself in the clip, which was premiered on Thursday, November 12.
The 18-year-old roams the empty Glendale Galleria shopping mall, a familiar stomping ground for Eilish during her early teen years in California. She raids food from Wetzel’s Pretzels, Hot Dog on a Stick and Chipotle before getting caught by a security guard.
“I’m not your friend or anything/ Damn, you think that you’re the man/ I think, therefore, I am,” she sings in the chorus. The video ends with Eilish scrambling to run away from the security guard, still with the foods she has stolen in her hands.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Eilish said the song is “very, very up for interpretation.” Looking forward to her fans’ reactions to her song, she admitted, “I’m very curious to see what people get from it and also what they feel when they hear it. I don’t know. But yeah, it’s a little mean. I love it.”
The song follows Eilish’s previous single “My Future”, which was released last July. In the softer song, she sings about walking away from a relationship and deciding to put herself and her future first. She also released “No Time to Die”, a song she recorded for an upcoming James Bond movie of the same title, in February.
Eilish is tapped to perform her brand new song “Therefore I Am” at the 2020 American Music Awards (AMAs), which is going to take place on Sunday, November 22. She is nominated for two awards, favorite artist – alternative rock and favorite social artist, at the ceremony, which will broadcast live from Los Angeles at The Microsoft Theatre at 8 P.M. ET/PT on ABC, with Taraji P. Henson serving as the host.
The “Bad Guy” hitmaker is also scheduled to perform live on iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball 2020 on December 10. The event will be carried live on over 90 iHeartRadio stations and as a live video stream.
