  • Public Enemy Calls President Trump 'Demented' in New Song 'STFU'

Chuck D and Flavor Flav put the current President of the United States, Donald Trump, on blast and urge people to vote him out in ‘State of the Union (STFU)’.
    Jun 20, 2020
AceShowbiz – Public Enemy dropped a new surprise track on Friday, June 19, 2020, calling on Americans to get rid of U.S. President Donald Trump.
The song, “State of the Union (STFU)”, contains lyrics calling the billionaire turned politician a “dictator” and “demented” and telling fans to “vote this joke out or die tryin’.”
In a press release seen by Pitchfork Media, Public Enemy leader Chuck D says, “Our collective voices keep getting louder. The rest of the planet is on our side. But it’s not enough to talk about change. You have to show up and demand change. Folks gotta vote like their lives depend on it, cause it does.”
Their hype man Flavor Flav adds, “Public Enemy tells it like it is. It’s time for him to GO.”
Its video, directed by David C. Snyder, mixes performance footage with video of the recent Black Lives Matter protests and police brutality, including the killing of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis, Minnesota last month.

“State of the Union (STFU)”, which is produced by DJ Premier and is available free on their website, debuts just two months after Chuck D revealed his “firing” of Flav was an elaborate hoax.

T.I. on Donald Trump Using His Song to Diss Joe Biden: It's Not Authorized

    Instagram/WENN/WENN

The representative of the rapper also shares that ‘T.I.’s legal team and media partners are already moving Expeditiously to block this unauthorized use of his song ‘Whatever You Like’.
    May 29, 2020
AceShowbiz – T.I. has spoken out after President Donald Trump used his song “Whatever You Like” to attack his political enemy, Joe Biden. Through a statement issued by his representative, the rapper made it known that he never gave POTUS consent to use his art for his campaign.
“Trump and his team (out of desperation for his campaign) have circulated a campaign video post throughout social media that includes the unauthorized use of T.I.’s song ‘Whatever You Like’, along with edited images of him and Joe Biden. The video distorts lyrics from his #1 charting song by misrepresenting the lyrics through text language and distortion of his recorded voice,” the representative for the rapper revealed.
“It goes without saying, that T.I. would not in any way ever support the divisive policies and destructive propaganda of Trump. The people of our country deserve far better than this,” the rep continued saying. “Be clear, he does not authorize it or consent to the use of his song to falsely suggest any endorsement of President Trump or to attack Joe Biden. It is sad, but expected, that this President would stoop so low to use his property without authority to manipulate the community.”
Concluding the statement, the rep shared that “T.I.’s legal team and media partners are already moving Expeditiously to block this unauthorized use and set the record straight in no uncertain terms.”
The song was featured on Trump’s official Snapchat account as his team posted slideshow of images of Biden with T.I.’s song playing in the background. However, instead of its original lyrics, “I want yo’ body, need yo’ body/ Long as you got me you won’t need nobody,” Trump’s clip has T.I. saying, “I don’t want Joe Biden, need Joe Biden/ As long as you got me you won’t need Joe Biden.”
The move was criticized by social media users as one remarked, “Wheww the desperation.” Some others predicted it’s only a matter of time before Tip slammed Trump for the unauthorized use of his song. “T.I. Bout to turn his vernacular up [100]…dictionary in hand!” one wrote. Another commented, “I need @troubleman31 to come through with a strongly worded cease and desists! Expeditiously.”

Donald Trump's Campaign Team Uses T.I.'s Song to Attack Joe Biden

    WENN/FayesVision

A post on the president’s official Snapchat account features Tip’s ‘Whatever You Like’ with parts of its lyrics being swtiched to diss the Democratic presidential candidate.
    May 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Donald Trump is once again risking himself of getting hit with allegation of illegal use of an artist’s work to attack his political enemy, Joe Biden. In a sly move likely to appeal to young demographic, the president’s reelection campaign team has repurposed T.I.’s “Whatever You Like” as a diss song aimed at the Democratic presidential candidate.
On Trump’s official Snapchat account, his team posted slideshow of images of Biden with T.I.’s song playing in the background.
T.I. has not publicly responded to Trump’s use of his song, but it’s safe to say that he won’t be happy about it. The rapper previously made public of his disapproval of the president when he was elected into the office in 2016.
“Donald Trump, this message is for you. My name is Clifford ‘T.I.P.” Harris,” the Atlanta rapper said in a clip posted on Instagram at the time. “I say this as nonviolently but unapologetically as possible. F**k you and f**k what you stand for. Nobody who support me will support you.”

Last September, he also spoke against what Trump stands for while criticizing conservative figure Candace Owens’ support for the president. “When you say ‘Make America Great Again,’ which period are we talking about?” he said. “The period when women couldn’t vote, the period when we were hanging from trees, or the crack era? Which period in America are you trying to make America like again?”
Meanwhile, social media users have called out Trump and his team for the use of T.I.’s song, with one remarking, “Wheww the desperation.” Some others predicted it’s only a matter of time before Tip slammed Trump for the unauthorized use of his song.
“T.I. Bout to turn his vernacular up [100]…dictionary in hand!” one wrote. Another commented, “I need @troubleman31 to come through with a strongly worded cease and desists! Expeditiously.”

'Parasite' Distributor Savagely Claps Back at Trump for Criticizing Its Oscars Win: 'He Can't Read'

President Donald Trump says during a campaign rally that this year’s Academy Awards was ‘bad’ because a non-American film got the Best Picture and slams Brad Pitt for his ‘little wise guy’ speech.
    Feb 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Donald Trump had some things to say about the 2020 Academy Awards during a rally campaign in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Thursday, February 20. Speaking at the podium, the president attacked this year’s prize-giving event for handing out the Best Picture prize, one of the coveted awards at the ceremony, to “Parasite”.
“How bad were the Academy Awards this year?” he asked his supporters who were in attendance at the rally. Criticizing the Academy for giving Best Picture to a non-American movie, the 73-year-old went on to say, “And the winner is… a movie from South Korea! What the hell was that all that about? We’ve got enough problems with South Korea, with trade. On top of that, they give them the best movie of the year. Was it good? I don’t know. ‘Let’s get Gone With the Wind’ back, please? ‘Sunset Boulevard’. So many great movies.”
Trump added, “I thought it was best foreign film, no?” “Parasite” won both the Best Picture and Best International Feature Film, the latter of which replaced the now-defunct Best Foreign Film category.
NEON, which distributes the film in North America, didn’t take a long time to respond to Trump’s jab. Hitting back at the president, the company tweeted, “Understandable, he can’t read,” along with the hashtags #Parasite #BestPicture #Bong2020.

NEON responds after President Trump criticized ‘Parasite’ Best Picture win at Oscars.
During the rally, Trump also made it clear that he’s not a fan of Brad Pitt, mocking the actor for his political speech at the Oscars. “And then you have Brad Pitt, I was never a big fan of his. He got up, said a little wise guy thing. He’s a little wise guy,” he said of the Best Supporting Actor winner for his role in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”.
Accepting his prize at the ceremony, Pitt said at the time, “They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week.” He was referencing the former national security adviser who was not allowed to testify by the Senate during the Trump impeachment hearing.
The 56-year-old star then joked that “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” helmer Quentin Tarantino might make a film about the controversial hearings. “I’m thinking maybe Quentin does a movie about it and in the end, the adults do the right thing,” he added.
Trump’s son Eric Trump later called Brad one of “smug elitists,” blaming him for the Oscars low ratings. “Probably because Americans don’t liked to be preached to by smug elitists. The elegance has been lost and America has tuned these people out of their homes…,” the third-eldest child of the president wrote along with Fox Business’ post that featured a photo of Brad at the 92nd annual prize-giving event, with the caption, “Oscars ratings fall 25% to all-time low.”

Green Day Too Angry to Pen 'American Idiot' Follow-Up About President Donald Trump

    WENN

The lead vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong explains why his band didn’t write a new anthem about the current political climate for their thirteenth studio album.
    Feb 9, 2020
AceShowbiz – Green Day’s frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is too upset about the “current political climate” to find inspiration for his music.
Green Day famously penned their 2004 album “American Idiot” to denounce then-U.S. President George W. Bush – which has subsequently been made into a rock opera.
However, Billie says fans cannot expect a follow-up about President Donald Trump because he’s too angry to write songs about politics at the moment.
“It’s not that I’m ignoring it, it’s just that the current political climate is something I just can’t draw any inspiration from. I’ve got tons of feelings about it,” he tells The Guardian. “I think Trump is a piece of s**t. I think (Senate majority leader) Mitch McConnell is pure evil.” “All they care about is looking after the rich and they don’t care about the common people. But I find no inspiration there. It’s so depressing. It’s hard to dance when you can’t get out of bed.”
Drummer and band goof Tre Cool says that even when the band got political they used to try and promote unity – something that feels distant now.
“And the world has become so divisive,” he adds. “We wanted to try to bring people together. It’s become something of a far-out concept to love each other!”
Their new album “Father of All…” is out now.
