Machine Gun Kelly Takes Another Shot at Eminem in New Single 'Bullets with Names'

    WENN/Instar/Abel Fermin

After the ‘Godzilla’ rapper addressed their beef in his latest album ‘Music to Be Murdered By’, MGK hints that the bad blood isn’t over as he brags about killing Em in his new diss song.
    Mar 14, 2020
AceShowbiz – Machine Gun Kelly continues to take shot at Eminem. While the “Godzilla” hitmaker claimed an end to their beef in a track off his “Music to Be Murdered By” album, the “Rap Devil” rapper released on Friday, March 13 a brand new single, “Bullets with Names”, that has him bragging about killing the former.
Produced by Wonda and Ronny J, “Bullets with Names” hears MGK spitting, “Killed me a goat so my jacket got stains on it/ Wipin’ my nose like I got some cocaine on it/ Pulled out his coffin and ate me a plate on it/ Called up his bitch, showed my dick, let ’em lay on it.” It features Young Thug, Lil Duke and RJMRLA.
This fresh track will be included in the “Bad Things” hitmaker’s upcoming fifth studio album, “Tickets to My Downfall”, that is set to be released later this year via Interscope and Bad Boy Records. The LP, which is a collaborative project with Blink-182’s Travis Barker, itself is a follow-up to his 2019 album “Hotel Diablo”.

As for MGK’s feud with Em, “Bullets with Names” was not the first shade he threw at the “Lose Yourself” hitmaker following the release of “Music to Be Murdered By”. In late January, he took to Twitter to seemingly comment on Em’s take on viral Dolly Parton challenge, “50 year old artists tryna be relevant to the youth by posting trending meme’s is something i never thought i’d see #2020,” his later-deleted tweet read.
Em and MGK started their feud back in 2018 after the “Bird Box” actor thirsting over his daughter Hailie. Hitting back, MGK came out with a diss track called “Rap Devil”. In response, Em let out “Killshot”. In mid-January 2020, however, Em appeared to call for a truce through new track titled “Unaccommodating”.
Despite Em’s claim that their war is finished, MGK appeared reluctance in squashing their beef. “mad af I just stepped out a loud room to hear this bulls**t,” he wrote on Twitter. “he’s been rich and mad for 20 years straight.”

Eminem Gets High and Punched by Mike Tyson in 'Godzilla' Music Video

    [embedded content]

The trippy clip, which sees the ‘Lose Yourself’ hitmaker having a series of bizarre hallucinations, also features Dr. Dre and a tribute to late rapper Juice WRLD.
    Mar 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – Eminem gets in a lot of trouble in a new music video for “Godzilla”. Released on Monday, March 9, the promo for the latest track from his “Music to Be Murdered By” album presents the “Lose Yourself” hitmaker getting high and being on the recipient end of Mike Tyson’s punch.
The four-and-a half-minute video kicks off with the 47-year-old grabbing a bottle of whiskey in a supermarket while rapping, “I can swallow a bottle of alcohol and I’ll feel like Godzilla.” He soon finds himself hallucinating about being followed by human-size Godzillas, meeting various kinds of his clones and vomiting Lego bricks.
At one point, the promo directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett sees Rihanna’s collaborator for “Love the Way You Lie” getting mistakenly knocked down by Tyson. When he wakes up in a hospital, his longtime collaborator Dr. Dre shows up in blue scrubs and white coat appearing ready to treat him.
The video wraps up with a tribute for Eminem’s late collaborator Juice WRLD. Along with a monochrome clip of the “Lucid Dreams” rapper and a promise that he will never be forgotten, an audio of him speaking could be heard in the background.
“I hope everybody havin’ a good day. I hope everybody accomplished something significant. Even if you didn’t accomplish anything significant, don’t be discouraged,” said the 21-year-old who died of an accidental drug overdose in early December 2019 after suffering a seizure and going into cardiac arrest at Chicago, Illinois’ Midway Airport.
“Just aim to accomplish something significant tomorrow and the next day and so on,” the Illinois rapper continued. ” If anybody is going through anything, I hope and I pray that you get through it. And just know that you do have the strength to get through whatever the f**k you going through, no matter what it is.”

Fans Attempt to Rap as Fast as Eminem Through the #GodzillaChallenge

    WENN/Sheri Determan

The Detroit rapper dares fans to duplicate the tongue-twisting third verse on the ‘Music to Be Murdered By’ track and promises to give prizes for his favorite ones.
    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Eminem’s fans are trying to give him a run for his money with their rap skills. Shortly after the “Lose Yourself” hitmaker launched a viral #GodzillaChallenge, people all around the world took to their social media accounts to show off their own “Godzilla” rap version.
The 47-year-old MC kicked off the challenge on Tuesday, February 25 by uploading a video of him rapping to his latest single from “Music to Be Murdered By” album. ” ‘Fill ’em with the venom and eliminate ’em’ ” @trillervids #GodzillaChallenge is on,” he wrote in the caption of the post. “Who can spit it? Reposting + got prizes for my favorites.”
The 30-second clip itself saw the “Without Me” rapper spitting 224 words with a total of 330 syllables for his collaboration with late rapper Juice WRLD. That means, 7.23 words came out of his mouth in just one second, according to Genius website.
Hours afterwards, many shared their attempt online. Hip hop dancer Matt Steffanina turned to his Instagram account to post a duet rap with his female rapper friend GЅnaps. “THE SUBTITLES CANT KEEP UP,” he exclaimed in the caption of his post. While his clip was short, it showed the two of them faring quite well in their rapid spit bid.

Russian musician Slame, meanwhile, seemed to be more serious in taking on the challenge. He even gave a Russian twist to his cover of “Godzilla” as he put out his video on the photo-sharing platform. Since its release, the 1-and-a-half minute clip has amassed more than 215,000 views.

“How to Make It in America” actor Bryan Greenberg, on the other hand, treated his fans to a bit of laughter with his attempt. Uploading a video of his effort on Instagram, he declared, “Who wants smoke? I just crushed this #godzillachallenge @eminem I’m ready to battle whenever!” His video, however, featured him missing lines and managing to only spit “fill ’em.”

#GodzillaChallenge came days after Eminem released the “Music to Be Murdered By”. The LP itself has many reference to sensitive issues, including the Manchester bombing at Ariana Grande’s concert and Las Vegas’ 2017 mass shooting. He said in an Instagram post, “This album was not made for the squeamish.”

“If you are easily offended or unnerved at the screams of bloody murder, this may not be the collection for you,” the rapper, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, warned. “Certain selections have been designed to shock the conscience, which may cause positive action. Unfortunately, darkness has truly fallen upon us.”

Lord Jamar Isn't Having It After Eminem Admits He's a Guest in Hip-Hop

    Instagram/WENN/Sheri Determan

When asked whether or not he sees as a guest in hip-hop scene, the Detroit star says, ‘The funny s**t is, with the whole beef a certain person, I never said I wasn’t a guest.’
    Feb 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lord Jamar doesn’t like the way Eminem admitted he’s a guest in the hip-hop scene. Following the Detroit star’s recent interview about the matter, the Brand Nubian member took to his Twitter account to roast his longtime nemesis.
He said on the micro-blogging site, “I guess his EGO wouldn’t allow him to say ‘Lord Jamar was right the whole time, & I was buggin for coming at him the way I did…my bad…I am guest in the house of Hip Hop.’ ” He then added in a separate tweet, “At least the EGO was quelled enough to admit what I’d been saying all along.”

“This s**t is case closed, now all together repeat after me…WHITE PEOPLE ARE GUESTS IN THE HOUSE OF HIP HOP THAT BLACK PEOPLE BUILT!” he continued. “Thank you and good night. (Drops mic and leaves podium.)”
Em has yet to respond back to Jamar.
During the interview itself, Em was asked whether or not he believes he’s a “guest in the house of Hip Hop.” Without mentioning Jamar’s name, Em responded, “The funny s**t is, with the whole beef a certain person, I never said I wasn’t a guest. I’m absolutely a guest. I never said I wasn’t. I never said I was king of anything, right?”
Em went on to say that he doesn’t want to be the “king of hip-hop,” and that he would never put himself above any other rappers. “I don’t want to be the king of hip hop. Who the f**k is the king of hip hop?” he said. “Is there a king of hip-hop? People would say, ‘Just because you sell the most records doesn’t mean you’re the best. Even though you can rap 40 million syllables doesn’t mean you’re the best.’ I care more about rhyming the syllables. I care more about the craft than any of the other stuff.”

    Artist of the Week: Eminem

The Detroit rapper’s talent as a lyricist is strongly evident in many of his songs, and he even has a quick, clean and smooth delivery that many other rappers don’t.
    Feb 17, 2020
AceShowbiz – Eminem truly has a big impact in the rap industry, and it’s not even surprising by this point considering how talented he is. His talent as a lyricist is strongly evident in many of his songs, and he even has a quick, clean and smooth delivery as well as a dexterity and flow that many other rappers don’t. Such example can be seen in his hit “Rap God” and “Godzilla”, the latter of which is included his latest album “Music to Be Murdered By”.
Speaking of “Music to Be Murdered By”, the album has reminded people once again how good he is in selling his music. Even though the record literally had no prior announcement nor a promotion, it could still rule the Billboard 200 with impressive number of sales. It helped Em become the first artist to have ten consecutive albums debut at No. 1 in the United States and one of the six artists to have released at least ten No. 1 albums.
His new album wasn’t the only thing that got a lot of people talking about him recently. More than a decade after he won Best Original Song for “Lose Yourself” at the Oscars, he finally performed the song at the annual event for the first time during the 2020 ceremony earlier this month. His set successfully surprised many people, prompting him to go trending on social media.
Not only that, but the surprise performance also spurred a big sales gain for “Lose Yourself”. Days after the performance, the “8 Mile” soundtrack sold 4,000 downloads in the United States while his entire catalog of music sold a combined 7,000 downloads. This, once again, proved how big Em is in the music industry in general and how much influence he brought in the game.

Eminem Spills the Reason Why He Kept First Oscars Performance a Secret

    WENN/Avalon

During an interview with Variety, the Detroit rapper also reveals why he decided not to perform ‘Lose Yourself’ at the 2003 ceremony, when it was announced as Best Original Song winner.
    Feb 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Eminem has gotten candid about why he kept his first performance at the Academy Awards a secret. “The Real Slim Shady” rapper came out with the confession just hours after surprising viewers with a performance of his Oscar-winning song “Lose Yourself” at the 92nd annual prizegiving on Sunday night, February 9.
When asked by Variety why it was so important to keep his performance secret, the 47-year-old MC admitted, “I don’t know.” He went on to explain, “I think it was either [the Oscars’] idea or Paul and [longtime publicist Dennis Dennehy’s] idea before they brought it to me. It was presented to me that way and I said, ‘Oh that’s kinda dope, to not even announce it.’ ”
Speaking about the preparation for his Oscars performance, the “Godzilla” hitmaker recalled, “We flew in [to Los Angeles] last week, so we probably have four or five rehearsals just to make sure we got everything right. Most of the rehearsals were offsite, not in [the Dolby Theater], just trying to keep it secret.”
During the chat, the father of three also explained why he chose 2020 as the year he delivered a rendition of his hit song. “I kinda figured maybe since I didn’t get a chance to do it at the time, maybe it would be cool,” he said before explaining why he didn’t attend the 2003 prizegiving event though his track was nominated for Best Original Song.
“Back then, I never even thought that I had a chance to win, and we had just performed ‘Lose Yourself’ on the Grammys with the Roots a couple of weeks before the Oscars, so we didn’t think it was a good idea.”
“And also, back at that time, the younger me didn’t really feel like a show like that would understand me. But then when I found out I won, ‘That’s crazy!’ That to me shows how authentic and real that award is – when you don’t show up and you still win. That makes it very real to me.”
Asked if he was disappointed for missing out on the special moment, the “Love the Way You Lie” rapper replied, “I don’t know that I was disappointed, I was blown back by the fact that I won.” He added, “I don’t even think I understood back then that you could get an Oscar for a song, and I remember being kinda confused about why I was even up for one, because as a kid with the Oscars, it was like a vacuum.”
Eminem was not the only one talking about his surprise performance at the 2020 ceremony. Oscars co-producer Lynette Howell explained that the MC’s participation was in line with the show’s “impact” theme. “We’ve been holding onto it for a while,” she added. “It was nice that we surprised people – we don’t usually get to surprise anybody in this day and age!”

Moments after handing Tom her hat, Janelle returned to the stage and broke out into an original song dedicated t this year’s nominated films and actors. Feb 3, 2020
AceShowbiz – Eminem has to give back the No. 1 spot on this week’s Billboard 200 chart to Roddy Ricch. The rapper’s debut album, “Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial”, is topping the weekly chart for a third non-consecutive week after racking up a little under 95,000 equivalent album units in the week ending January 30, according to Nielsen Music.
His record’s return to the top spot is largely driven by streaming activity with 92,000 SEA units contributing to its overall total of just under 95,000 units. Meanwhile, only 1,000 units were sold in album sales. Furthermore, “Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial” marks the first album to top the chart for three non-consecutive weeks after Billie Eilish did it in 2019 with “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”
Getting dethroned by Roddy, Em’s “Music to Be Murdered By” descends to No. 2 with 89,000 units. At No. 4, Halsey’s “Manic” is forced to go down two spots with 56,000 units, followed up with Post Malone’s “Hollywood’s Bleeding” at No. 5. It racked up 54,000 units.
Mac Miller’s “Circles” falls to No. 6 with 45,000 units, as DaBaby’s “Kirk” ascends to No. 7 with 36,000 units. Trailing behind the rapper’s album is Harry Styles’ “Fine Line” that moves up to No. 8 with 33,000 units. MoneyBagg Yo’s “Time Served” follows behind at No. 9 with 31,000 units, while Travis Scott (II)-leading project group Jackboys closes out the top ten with their self-titled album that sold 30,000 units.
Next week, the competition for the No. 1 spot is expected to be fierce with Lil Wayne’s “Funeral” and Kesha a.k.a. Ke$ha’s new album “High Road” vying for the spot.
“Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial” – Roddy Ricch (a little under 95,000 units)
