Justin Bieber to Make Cameo in 'Ridiculous Costume' for 'Friends' Reunion

    Instagram/Rory Kramer

The ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ hitmaker reportedly has agreed to make a cameo appearance and wear a silly costume for the much-anticipated reunion special of the classic television show.

    Apr 19, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Justin Bieber is reportedly set to make a cameo appearance in the “Friends” reunion.

The pop star has been convinced by the show’s producers to wear character Ross Geller’s famous Spudnik potato costume for the upcoming HBO Max special.

A TV source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper, “Justin was honoured to be involved and didn’t mind sending himself up wearing a ridiculous costume. It was all run like a military operation to keep details under wraps, and Justin nailed it.”

His casting is a big coup for bosses at HBO Max, who were forced to delay filming by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The original stars David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, and Matt LeBlanc are all expected to return for the much-anticipated reunion.

Details of the project are still sketchy, but Jennifer previously said “it’s not scripted.” The Rachel Green depicter teased, “I will not be Rachel, although I kind of am. Well, we’re all sort of little fragments of them. Not really. But yeah.”

Co-star Lisa also hinted that she would not be reprising her TV character, “I will not be Phoebe.”

David later gave a bit more clues on what to expect, “We are all ourselves, although there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something.”

While delays were usually considered as a setback, Jennifer thought otherwise, “You know what? This has also given us more time to make it even more exciting and more fun than it would have been. So I choose to see it as the glass is half-full that it got postponed. Look, we’re not going anywhere. You’re never going to get rid of Friends, sorry. You’re stuck with us for life guys.”

    Apr 5, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Justin Bieber had a special surprise for his fans on Easter weekend. More than two weeks after he released his album “Justice”, the “Peaches” singer dropped a new EP called “Freedom” and announced it on social media.

On Sunday, March 4, the 27-year-old Canadian native made use of Instagram to promote his new EP by first stating, ” ‘Freedom’ on all platforms.” He then followed it up with a screenshot of six songs from the record.

Justin’s EP includes “Freedom” featuring BEAM, “All She Wrote” (feat. Brandon Love and Chandler Moore), “We’re In This Together”, “Where You Go I Follow” (feat. Pink Sweats, Chandler Moore and Judah Smith) and “Where Do I Fit In” (feat. Tori Kelly, Chandler Moore and Judah Smith)”. It was followed with “Afraid to Say”, in which Justin sings along with Lauren Walters.

The EP came after the husband of Hailey Baldwin dropped his new album “Justice” on March 16. Later on March 26, he treated fans to its deluxe edition named “Justice (Triple Chucks Deluxe)”. His manager Scooter Braun previously gave a hint at its release one day prior.

“The response of this past week has been amazing to the album #justice that the man himself had to show love with even more music,” the manager wrote on his Instagram page. “#justice triple chuck deluxe tonight. More tracks. More music! @justinbieber bravo.”

The deluxe edition included guest spots from Lil Uzi Vert on “There She Go”. Quavo and Jaden Smith also featured on “Wish You Would” and “I Can’t Be Myself” respectively. In the meantime, Justin collaborated with DaBaby on “Know No Better” and with Tori on “Name”.

After releasing the album, the former boyfriend of Selena Gomez sparked backlash for sampling speeches by Dr. Martin Luther King on the tracks “MLK Interlude” and “2 Much”. He has since defended himself from the criticism.

“I want to keep growing and learning about just all social injustices and what it looks like for me to be better, what it looks like for my friends to be better,” he stated when speaking to Kristal Terrell, one of the co-founders of Clubhouse’s Bieber Nation. “And I know I have a long way to go. I love that when people are listening to my album, these conversations are coming up and they’re like, ‘Well, how is he going from Martin Luther King into a love song?’ ”

Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande Receive $10M Payout After Scooter Braun's Deal With BTS' Agency

    Instagram/WENN

The ‘Stuck with U’ collaborators are reportedly to receive shares valued at approximately $10 million each after their manager signed a massive deal with Korean entertainment company.

    Apr 4, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande are to receive around $10 million (£7.2 million) each as a result of their manager Scooter Braun’s new deal with HYBE.

It was revealed on Friday (02Apr21) that mogul Braun’s Ithaca Holdings has merged with HYBE – formerly Big Hit Entertainment, meaning that HYBE will acquire a 100 per cent stake in Ithaca Holdings and its properties, including SB Projects and its clients as well as Taylor Swift’s former record company Big Machine Label Group.

As part of the merger, a total of 863,209 new shares were issued for a total of $160.5 million (£116 million). Each share is $186 (£134), and Bieber and Grande received 53,557 each – totalling $9,961,602 (£7,202,631) each – according to a Korean regulatory filing obtained by Variety.

Braun’s other clients include J Balvin and Demi Lovato, who received 21,423 and 5,355 shares respectively, giving them a payday of $3.9 million (£2.8 million) and $996,030 (£720,169) each. Carly Rae Jepsen and Asther Roth each received 535 shares, while Migos star Quavo and the members of country band Florida Georgia Line were among the other clients to receive smaller cuts of the total.

Braun himself was allocated 462,380 shares (translating to $86 million, £62 million) while Scott Borchetta – the CEO of Big Machine Label Group – received 166,537 ($31 million, £22 million).

As a result of the merger, HYBE will become one of the world’s biggest entertainment companies.

“This will be the first time HYBE’s groundbreaking systems and curation will be integrated in the U.S. market at the onset of an artist’s career,” Braun said in a statement. “Plus, it will help us to continue to further the careers of the artists we already work with.”

“Global opportunities for artists become exponential with this partnership. This is an opportunity for us to make history and further innovate the music industry and revolutionise the game itself. Its implications for the business will be monumental for a long time to come.”

Justin Bieber Defends Himself Following Backlash Over Use of MLK Speech on New Album

    Instagram/Rory Kramer

The ‘Yummy’ hitmaker insists he didn’t mean any disrespect and he, instead, hopes to help spread the awareness of racism and the importance of Black Lives Matter.

    Apr 1, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Justin Bieber has answered critics who slammed his decision to feature a Martin Luther King, Jr. speech on his new album, “Justice”, insisting he just wants to continue the Black Lives Matter “conversation.”

The MLK Interlude wasn’t popular with many people, even though the pop star sought permission to use the civil rights icon’s words from the King estate.

And after debuting Justice at the top of the charts, Bieber has tackled the issue head on in a new chat with Kristal Terrell, one of the co-founders of Clubhouse’s Bieber Nation.

      See also…

“Being Canadian… they didn’t teach us about Black history,” he said. “It was just not a part of our education system. I think for me, coming from Canada and being uneducated and making insensitive jokes when I was a kid and being insensitive and being honestly just a part of the problem because I just didn’t know better… For me to have this platform to just share this raw moment of Martin Luther King in a time where he knew he was going to die for what he was standing up for (sic).”

Bieber was also criticised for opening the album with a King speech at the beginning of its first track “2 Much”, and for the placement of the MLK Interlude, just before “Die For You”, a love song to his wife.

But Justin insists he made the right choice, “I want to keep growing and learning about just all social injustices and what it looks like for me to be better, what it looks like for my friends to be better,” he added. “And I know I have a long way to go. I love that when people are listening to my album, these conversations are coming up and they’re like, ‘Well, how is he going from Martin Luther King into a love song?’ ”

“I’m not trying to make a connection between me and Martin Luther King. That’s why I never try to talk about social injustice or I didn’t want to be the one to talk about it, because I just have so much more learning to do. But I have this man who was ready to die and what he believed to be true. If I’m not willing to face some sort of ridicule or judgment of people wondering my motives or whatever that is, for me, it was a no brainer.”
