    Instagram

The second collaboration of the ‘FEFE’ rappers has extended duo domination on the chart since Travis Scott and Kid Cudi’s ‘The Scotts’ lands on top at the beginning of May.
    Jun 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – The U.S. pop chart’s run of number one collaborations has been extended by 6ix9ine & Nicki Minaj.
The rappers, who collaborated on 2018’s “FEFE”, have teamed up again for “TROLLZ” – and this time their partnership has landed them a number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
The track, 6ix9ine’s first chart-topper, becomes only the 40th tune to debut at number one in the 60-plus year history of the countdown and the fifth to manage the feat this year.

It also extends the record of number one collaborations – duos have reigned atop the chart for the past seven weeks, beginning with Travis Scott (II) and Kid Cudi’s “The Scotts” at the beginning of May.
DaBaby’s “Rockstar”, featuring Roddy Ricch, drops to two on the new Hot 100, while Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture” debuts at three.

Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage”, featuring Beyonce Knowles, falls to four and The Weeknd’s former four-week number one, “Blinding Lights”, rounds out the top five.

  • Cardi B Uses Twitter's Voice Note for Sam Smith Remix as Nicki Minaj Seeks Credit for New Feature

    WENN

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ femcee pranks her Twitter followers with a fake remix while her rival credits herself for the newly-minted voice note launched by Twitter.
    Jun 19, 2020
AceShowbiz – Rapper Cardi B fooled fans on Thursday, June 18, 2020 by pretending to have recorded an official remix to Sam Smith’s hit song “How Do You Sleep?”.
The “I Like It” hitmaker decided to have a little fun with Twitter’s new voice notes function, which allows users to record up to 140 seconds of audio to post online and shared a clip of Smith’s music video with her 12.5 million followers.
She sent some fans into overdrive as she captioned it, “Remix is out now” – until they realised the cheeky MC had just dubbed her voice over the Brit’s as she sang along to the tune.
Meanwhile, Cardi’s rap rival, Nicki Minaj, is seeking credit for the audio tweet function from Twitter bosses, after proposing the idea three years ago.
She shared an Instagram image of a message from 2017 when she wrote, “If Twitter came out with a way for me to voice note my tweets they’d be winning. Give me my money tho. Give me my money (sic).”
Calling on fans to urge platform bosses to reward her for the idea, which was rolled out this week, she captioned the old tweet, “Can y’all go on Twitter & tell them give me my money for this new voice note feature I told them to add in 2017 (sic)?”
Twitter officials have yet to respond to Nicki’s gripe.

During the chat, Wayne revealed, “We doing our joint album. A lot of the fans been asking about it. When we gon’ do this (sic)?.”
“You already know, your wish is my command,” Nicki replied.
However, Nicki admitted the thought of going head-to-head with her “No Frauds” and Only collaborator on multiple songs was daunting.
“It’s scary. It’s scary to put a verse on something after you put a verse on it,” she confessed. “Last time we worked together was ‘Rockstar (Remix)’, the Post Malone remix, remember we did that? Love that. But it’s like, me really, really having to think so much…

  • Nicki Minaj Defends 6ix9ine as He Trolls Meek Mill Over 'Rat' Accusations

    Instagram/WENN

During the Live session, Tekashi also shades Nicki’s ex Meek for calling him a “rat” for snitching on his former gang member Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, telling him that he’s nobody without Nicki.
    Jun 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj hopped on an Instagram Live with her “Trollz” collaborator 6ix9ine (Tekashi69) on Thursday, June 11, not long after they released their new song. While some fans were excited for the new song, some others blasted Nicki for working with Tekashi following his snitching scandal.
During the livestream session, the Trinidadian star revealed no once, including fellow rappers, didn’t have the right to call out her collaborator. “Street n****s have every right to feel how they wanna feel about snitchin’ because they live that life,” Nicki Minaj said. “I feel rappers need to play it easy because everybody mingles and integrates with everybody and if a top executive rat called one of you unsigned rappers right now to sign y’all, y’all signing.”
“We not gon’-if a rat executive call y’all to sign, y’all signing. So, let’s be clear when we talk about rappers versus street n****s. It’s rappers that put guns they ain’t never bust a day in they life in the music all the motherf***ing time so we’re not talking about rappers,” the “Anaconda” hitmaker added. “I feel street n****s have a right to feel how they wanna motherf***in’ feel because they in the field and you know, I’m not on the block with 6ix9ine.”
Of her husband’s reaction to her collaboration with the “FEFE” rapper, Nicki explained, “My husband doesn’t f**k with the snitch culture. My husband is just like, ‘You know, I can’t f**k with that.’ And I respect him because he’s lived a different life. Y’all wanna make it rap one minute and streets the next minute.” She added, “Y’all wanna talk about people not writing they raps one minute, and then do songs with people that don’t write raps the next minute. But if somebody talk about the integrity of hip hop it’s a problem, but y’all can talk about the integrity of these streets and not snitching. We not on the block. None of you n****s is on the block!”

During the Live session, Tekashi also shaded Nicki’s ex Meek Mill for calling him a “rat” for snitching on his former gang member Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. “Meek Mill, you can’t pick and choose who you want to call rats… Ever since Nicki left you, you are a nobody… Listen, Nicki took you on tour… You were her opener,” 6ix9ine ranted. “”Nicki made you, you n***a. No b***h wanted to f**k you, n***a. Did you forget who you was?”

“Listen. I forgot what Drake said. What did Drake say? Some s**t like that, is that your tour or your girl’s tour. That was never your tour, homie. Listen, you was put on by Nicki Minaj. And you rollin’ with rats now but you know what? Nobody knows. Nobody knows. Nobody is gonna be like… You’re with a rat every day. You’re with a rat. Your prison reform. Your bail reform is with a rat. ‘Oh no, she wasn’t street.’ She was sellin’ kilos of cocaine. You don’t want nobody to know?”

  • 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj Unleash Playful, Colorful Music Video for 'TROLLZ'

    [embedded content]

A portion of the proceeds from the second collaboration of the ‘GOOBA’ rapper and the ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker will go to the Bail Project which supports those working on the front lines of social justice.
    Jun 12, 2020
AceShowbiz – 6ix9ine is bringing playfulness and a heavy dose of colors to his second collaboration with Nicki Minaj. A little over one month after releasing his first music video post his release from prison, the “GOOBA” rapper unleashed a brand new visual for “TROLLZ”, his second joint effort with the “Anaconda” hitmaker.
Three and a half minutes long, the video sees the 24-year-old MC showing off his house arrest ankle monitor at some point. His collaborator, in the meantime, goes seductive, and displays a lot of skin. One of her colorful costumes presents her in nothing but multicolored pasties covering only her nipples.
“TROLLZ” itself hears the rapper duo individually challenging their haters. “I know you don’t like me, you wanna fight me/ You don’t want no problems at your party? Don’t invite me/ I don’t worry ’bout you n****s, please stop talking ’bout me/ Always talkin’ bout me ’cause you looking for the clouty,” he spits.
The “Barbie Dreams” raptress, in the meantime, rhymes in her part, “They get nervous when it’s Nicki on the roster/ Somebody ushered this n***a into a clinic/ My flow’s still sick, I ain’t talkin’ a pandemic/ I write my own lyrics, a lot of these b***hes gimmicks/ They study Nicki style, now all of them want to mimic.”
This song, which reunited the two rappers after their 2018 track “FEFE”, was originally planned to be released on June 5. 6ix9ine, however, decided to push it back out of respect for the Black Lives Matter protests that broke out across the country following the tragic death of George Floyd.
On Wednesday, June 10, Minaj announced that they will be using the song to support the fight against racial injustice. “A portion of the proceeds from #Trollz including merch items, will be going directly to The Bail Project Inc. [@bailproject]. The fund provides free bail assistance to low-income individuals who can’t afford to pay bail while awaiting their trial,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
The 37-year-old continued, “We want to protect and support the thousands of brave people working on the front lines of social justice, using their voices to demand AN END to the targeting and killing of Black Americans by the police. #BlackLivesMatter.”

  • Nicki Minaj Defended by Fans After Backlash Over Upcoming 6ix9ine Collaboration

    Instagram

The ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker has previously stated that she has ‘a mind of their own’ after she was criticized for working with the snitching rapper on his 2018 track ‘FEFE’.
    Jun 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj was unapologetical when she worked with 6ix9ine back in 2018 and she has proven it by re-teaming up with the New York City artist once again on his upcoming music. As with their previous collaboration “FEFE”, their new project “TROLLZ” has been met with backlash after they announced its release date.
Critics took to social media to ask the Harajuku Barbie to remove her photos promoting the song and cancel the collaboration altogether. “Post a pic without him queen,” one of her followers wrote in a comment of her tweet announcing the song.
Labeling 6ix9ine a pedophile, a second user wrote, “Queen please stop working with this pdf file.” Another added, “nicki sweetie…. its not too late to accidentally trip and delete the collab. we can pretend it never happened.”
“i never heard Fefe in full and im not boutta listen to this either,” one person declared, referring to Nicki and 6ix9ine’s previous collaboration, while someone else compared her to her nemesis Cardi B, “Cardi would’ve never worked wit a Snitch Smh.”
But some others showed their loyalty to Nicki and came to her defense amid the backlash. “I LOVE THE FACT THAT YALL HAVE ANOTHER SONG TOGETHER,” one excited fan wrote. Another exclaimed, “We ready sis Fire you look tf good!”
Hitting back at the critics, someone else wrote, “The same ppl running they mouths are the same ones that will sing every word to Fefe when it comes on.”
Nicki has previously declared that she’s not worried about what others think about her, because she has a mind of her own. “You don’t have to defend me. I’m not afraid of internet trolls, blogs, artists. I don’t jump on band wagons. Many will never know what it feels like to have a mind of their own,” she tweeted back in December 2018, after 6ix9ine was arrested on racketeering, conspiracy to murder, armed robbery and firearms charges.
The 24-year-old rapper co-operated with the investigators and as part of his plea deal, he got two years behind bars after testifying against the Nine Trey Gang. He’s currently serving the remainder of his jail term in house arrest after he’s released early from prison in April due to the coronavirus pandemic.

  • Nicki Minaj and 6ix9ine to Use New Collaboration Song to Support Black Lives Matter Protests

    Instagram

Some of the proceeds from ‘Trollz’, which will be released on June 12, will go to The Bail Project Inc. which provides free bail assistance to low-income individuals amid fight against racial injustice.
    Jun 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj has reunited with fellow rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine for a new song benefitting those in need of bail assistance amid the Black Lives Matter protests.
The stars, who previously collaborated on 2018 track “FEFE”, have come together for “Trollz”, the second single of Tekashi’s music comeback following a stint behind bars for gang-related crimes.
The tune will be released on Friday, June 12, and Minaj reveals some of the proceeds will support the ongoing fight for social and racial justice.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, she writes, “A portion of the proceeds from #Trollz including merch items, will be going directly to The Bail Project Inc. The fund provides free bail assistance to low-income individuals who can’t afford to pay bail while awaiting their trial.
“We want to protect and support the thousands of brave people working on the front lines of social justice, using their voices to demand AN END to the targeting and killing of Black Americans by the police. #BlackLivesMatter”.

Tekashi had previously decided to press pause on his new music release plans “out of respect” for the Black Lives Matter movement, in the wake of the death of African-American George Floyd at the hands of a white police officer in Minnesota in late May.

Minaj isn’t the only artist willing to work with Tekashi after he turned on his former gangmembers to cooperate with federal prosecutors and secure a lesser sentence – he’s also teased a sequel to singer Akon’s 2004 release “Locked Up”.

  • Nicki Minaj Fans Convinced That She's Preparing New Album With This Tweet

    Instagram

‘NM5 LYRICS. let’s get Into it,’ writes an excited fan in response to Nicki’s post on the blue bird app, while someone else begs, ‘CAN YOU SHOW US THE ALBUM TOO?’
    Jun 9, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj is driving her fans crazy with a new post on her Twitter account. Fans somehow thought that the “Anaconda” hitmaker was teasing lyrics of her upcoming album.
“Showed you how to get a bag now u goin shopping,” so Nicki wrote on Monday, June 8 on the blue bird app. That prompted the Barbz to think that the Young Money rapper hinted at her impending musical return.

Nicki Minaj wrote a cryptic tweet.
“LYRICS?” asked an excited fan. “NM5 LYRICS. let’s get Into it,” added another fan, while someone else begged, “CAN YOU SHOW US THE ALBUM TOO?”
“CHILE WHAT ARE THESE LYRICS FOR? Don’t play with us Ms. Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty !” another user responded. “Drop the song sis we know you on it,” one person added.
“SHE IS TEASING,” said a convinced Barb. One other, meanwhile, wrote, “New lyrics? I like it,” as another user asked the star to “STOP TEASING US DROP THE ALBUM.”
Back in May, it was reported that 6ix9ine (Tekashi69) was prepping a collaboration with Nicki. The report further suggested that the top secret project is now done, with the “Starships” raptress having “already recorded her part” in Los Angeles and “Tekashi did his part” in New York. A source reportedly close to the Trinidad and Tobago-born femcee additionally claimed that Nicki’s traveling to New York to film a video for the new song.
Should the report of the Nicki duet be true, it will mark 6ix9ine’s next collaboration since his early release from prison due to the coronavirus pandemic as it seemed like he’s also gearing up for a collab with Akon. Nicki, meanwhile, recently earned her first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 with Doja Cat’s “Say So (Remix)” which features her.
