Bhad Bhabie Slams 'Dumb' Trolls Calling Her Nicki Minaj Fan Over 'Yikes' Freestyle

    Instagram

In the 40-second remix itself, the 16-year-old hip-hop star are flexing about ‘big checks, big house, fast cars’ and calling out her competition in the rap game.
    Feb 12, 2020
AceShowbiz – Bhad Bhabie a.k.a. Danielle Bregoli makes it clear that she’s not a fan of Nicki Minaj even though she released a remix of the Trinidadian rapper’s new song “Yikes”. The teenage star blasted those who called her so just because of the remix.
On Tuesday, February 11, she shared on her YouTube account her own brief remix treatment for the chart-topping song. On the 40-second freestyle, Bhabie flexes about “big checks, big house, fast cars” while calling out her competition in the rap game, “You h**s ain’t nuthin’ like me, see I’m the wifey/ Gave this h*e a little thing/ She started actin’ sheisty.”

People were rather baffled to learn of her “Yikes” remix, considering that she used to shade Nicki in the past. This prompted people to assume that she had now become a fan of Nicki, and Bhabie wasn’t having it at all. Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote, “Who ever thinks making a remix of a song makes you a ‘fan’ of the person y’all are dumb as f**kkkkkk.” The 16-year-old rapper later added that those who thought that way should seek help.

Bhabie threw jabs Nicki a couple of times last year. She once accused the “Anaconda” rapper of not writing her own raps, leading to her getting roasted by the Barbz. However, she stood by her claims and hit back, “I forgot that Nicki’s fandom, majority of them are brainwashed and braindead and are just so in love with her that they believe anything she says or whatever.”
Later in September, Bhabie once again stirred controversy when she claimed that Nicki was “salty” Cardi B took her spot. “No one told her to get salty,” she said at the time. “If she took Cardi under her wing and been like, ‘Yeah, that’s my b***h.’ She didn’t have to be all, ‘Ugh, I can’t stand another b***h taking my spot.’ Like sit your salty a** down and just deal with it.”

Nicki Minaj Calls Her Fans 'Bullies' for Pressuring Her to Release 'Yikes'

    Instagram

The ‘Bang Bang’ rapper makes the comment when one of her Twitter followers asks her about how the controversial song came about during her QnA session on the micro-blogging site.
    Feb 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – Rapper Nicki Minaj was “bullied” into rush-releasing her new single, “Yikes”.
The “Moment 4 Life” hitmaker’s latest material hit streaming services on Friday (February 07), days after teasing social media followers with a brief preview of the tune last Monday.
Fans responded so well, Minaj claims she felt pressured to finish the song and release it to the masses – while her label chiefs also apparently pressed her to complete the track.
The newlywed hip-hop star made the remarks in a Twitter question and answer session on Saturday, when one devotee asked her how Yikes came about.
“I was playing a snippet for my crazy fans & they made me put it out,” she replied. “They are bullies. I only had 1 verse done. The label bullied me too. I’ve been bullied.”

Minaj went on to share how she improvised the hook – and she loved it so much, she left it in.
“I made up the hook with no (lyrics written on) paper,” she explained. “Just freestyled in the booth cuz (sic) I loved the beat. so the yikes part is me hearing the beat for the very first time. The verses I wrote down. The outro was a freestyle.”

Yikes is Minaj’s first solo single of the year, but the initial teaser drew some harsh criticism after she referenced late civil rights activist Rosa Parks and her role in sparking the Montgomery bus boycott of 1955 in the lyrics.
“All you b**ches Rosa Parks/Uh oh, get your a** up,” she raps on the track, which was previewed on the eve of what would have been Parks’ 107th birthday.
TMZ subsequently reported that Minaj was blaming “bad timing” for the controversy, while sources alleged she didn’t mean to “offend or disrespect Parks”.
However, Minaj has since made it clear she was unaware of any backlash – and she wouldn’t have taken notice anyway.
“Never said this,” she posted on Instagram Stories, alongside the headline. “Had no clue anyone was mad. Don’t care. #Yikes”.

The single is expected to feature on the follow up to 2018’s “Queen” album.

    WENN/Brian To/Derrick Salters

Towards the end of the song, the Trinidadian female emcee makes a MoneyBagg Yo reference by rapping, ‘Bag talk? But ain’t got no mouth when MoneyBagg talk?’
    Feb 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – This might be the reason why Nicki Minaj delayed the release of “Yikes”. The Trinidadian rapper was supposed to unleash the highly-anticipated song on Thursday, February 6, but she eventually put it out on Friday at 3 A.M. People are now convinced that it’s because she wanted to add a bar to diss Meek Mill.
Right before the song comes to a close, Nicki spits her verse, “Bag talk? But ain’t got no mouth when MoneyBagg talk?/ It’s quiet, ain’t no back talk.” She’s clearly referencing MoneyBagg Yo who came to her defense amid her nasty back-and-forth with Meek recently. He said at the time, “If u like or double tap some f*k s**t somebody posted abt a n***a … don’t act like u cool wit the n***a that it’s abt wen u see him..ion get ppl.” However, Meek never gave him a response.

Her diss came rather surprising considering that prior to this, Nicki said that she regretted fighting Meek on Twitter and made a promise to herself not to do it again. During her appearance at Pollstar Live, she said, “Listen, it never fails. Every time I do it, five minutes later, I’m like, ‘Why the f**k did I?’ Every single time.”
She continued, “But it’s good lesson in knowing how to master your anger and emotions. So, every time I do that, I like give myself a talking to in my head, like, ‘OK, you played yourself, you shouldn’t have did that. You learned your lesson again.’ How many times did I learn that lesson? So, I gave myself that talk today, sir.”
Meek and Nicki’s Twitter feud ensued after the former was caught liking pictures making fun of her husband Kenneth Petty. In response, she called her ex-boyfriend a clown and dissed his fashion sense. She additionally accused him of domestic violence while he dragged her for her “rapist” brother’s lawyer. Both denied the accusations leveled against them.

Nicki Minaj Meant No Disrespect to Rosa Parks Amid Backlash Over New Song 'Yikes'

    Instagram

The ‘Anaconda’ rapper is accused of disrespecting the late African-American civil rights icon as snippet of her new track is revealed on what would have been the activist’s birthday.
    Feb 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj has been left red-faced by a backlash against a new track referencing civil rights icon Rosa Parks.
Nicki teased a snippet of her new song “Yikes” including the line, “All you b**ches Rosa Parks / Uh oh, get your a** up,” on Monday, February 3, 2020 – the day before what would have been Park’s birthday.
The lyrics prompted a backlash on Twitter, however, with many accusing the “Anaconda” hitmaker of disrespecting the African-American icon.
Sources connected to the rapper tell TMZ.com Nicki’s aware of the backlash but that she meant no disrespect to the civil rights activist, who passed away in 2005, and that the timing of its debut was an unlucky coincidence as she was merely trying to give fans a taste of her new music.
Twitter users had expressed anger, however, with one writing, “Nicki Minaj need to leave Rosa Parks (alone),” and others pointing out that the civil rights figure famously did not get up, but in fact stayed seated, when asked to relinquish her seat to a white passenger in Montgomery, Alabama in 1954 – sparking the Montgomery Bus Boycott protests.
“Rosa Parks would have been 107 years old if she was still living to see her birthday today,” journalist Ernest Owens pointed out. “Y’all go remind Nicki Minaj that. Quick history lesson: She never got up, she stayed seated. The lyric makes no sense.”
However, others were amused or impressed by the lyrics, with one fan writing, “Thinking about Nicki Minaj coming back from a hiatus and being talked about for ONE BAR she wrote about Rosa Parks. This is IMPACT. This is POWER. She’s a GENIUS.”

Nicki Minaj Accused of Disrespecting Rosa Parks on Preview of New Song 'Yikes'

    WENN/Brian To

Offering her devoted fans a teaser of her upcoming song, the Trinidadian rapper delivers the bar that gets people wilding online, ‘All you b***hes Rosa Parks, uh-oh get your a** up!’
    Feb 4, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj is about to bid farewell to her retirement with her new solo music. The hip-hop superstar took to social media on Monday night, February 3 to give her devoted fans a sneak peak at her new song entitled “Yikes”, which was soon met with controversy due to one particular line.
Filming herself singing along to the song in a recording studio, Nicki rapped, “Woke up, the price of coke up/ I just hit em with the low cut then call my folks up.” She continued spitting her bars, “This is a mac truck not a black truck/ When we move tell ’em back up/ Click the clack,” before delivering the bar that got a lot of people wilding online, “All you b***hes Rosa Parks, uh-oh get your a** up!”
The line got mixed reaction from social media users, though not a few people were disappointed by the bar and accused the “Bang Bang” rapper of disrespecting the late activist, who is called the “first lady of civil rights” and the “mother of the freedom movement.” One person said, “Nah that Rosa Parks part I don’t like. You shouldn’t had said that. It’s black history month.” Another mad individual wrote, “I loved it… minus the Rosa Parks line!!! It didn’t make sense and it was on the lines of disrespectful!”
Some people decided not to listen to the full version of the song due to the line, while another commented, “I don’t see nothing cute about this song did y’all not hear what she said that was mad disrespectful.” Meanwhile, a different person said, “I liked everything besides the ‘Rosa Parks part’ like damn ain’t it black history month? Where’s the respect.”
The backlash aside, this isn’t the first time Nicki references a female figure in black history. During an episode of her radio show “Queen”, she compared herself to abolitionist and political activist Harriet Tubman when airing her frustration about music industry politics.
