      Set in an absurd dystopian future, ‘100 PAINTINGS’ tells the story of a young artist and his mother struggling to survive in the crumbling Savoy Hotel. Battling with mountains of unpaid hotel bills, the young artist has three days to produce one-hundred original paintings and deliver them to the new hotel manager or he and his mother face being turned out onto the street. With hilarious distractions coming in full force, the young artist struggles to keep on course to meet the deadline, but help often comes from the most unexpected of places…

      A Rat, A Rat

      Shortlisted for the inaugural Women’s Prize for Playwriting from Ellie Keel and Paines Plough, this play will feature an all female cast and team.

      Charlie has just turned 18. Whilst most would be out enjoying their newly-found adult liberties, Charlie is stuck in a white room with a bed without sheets, a window that doesn’t open, and a rat. She has to adapt fast to this new, sterile world of the adult psychiatric unit if she is to convince anyone that she is well enough to go home to her waiting mum, Vicky. Under the care her over-worked and under-trained key worker Jenny, she learns quickly that she is pretty much on her own. Until Kim turns up.

      This electric new play shines a piercing light into the gaping structural holes of our mental health system, questioning how we as individuals care for one another when our institutions fail us.

      A Thousand Sons

      Bertie has witnessed the power of Nuclear weapons. He has seen the horrors first hand, and felt the fallout on a very personal level.

      A THOUSAND SONS is a one-person show about Bertie; a British veteran who witnessed four nuclear test detonations in the 1950’s.

      We follow him through his life: from witnessing the detonation of the first bomb, to the subsequent effects it had on him and his family in later life, and finally to present day as he struggles for justice and recognition from those in power.

      Bertie is a fictional character, however all events are based on the true testimonies of British service personnel, explored through action, poetry and verbatim testimony.

      A Thousand Sons uses a pivotal and terrifying event in history to explore themes of family, trust, betrayal and power. It uses a unique blend of techniques to tell a captivating and deeply emotional story.
