AceShowbiz – John Krasinski’s dream of hosting “Saturday Night Live” will have to wait. His upcoming episode has been postponed.
The coronavirus lock down in New York has prompted the “SNL” writers and producers to scrap the next three shows, including Krasinski’s hosting debut, which was to feature Dua Lipa as the musical guest, on 28 March.
The actor and director, who last week shelved the release of his “A Quiet Place” sequel due to the health crisis, recently confessed hosting “SNL” was a dream come true.
“I was eight years old when I found an old black and white TV in my parents’ basement, I snuck it under my bed and was watching, basically, every ‘SNL’ from eight to 18 – and I only told my mom (recently),” he said in an interview earlier this month (March). “She was like, ‘I’m sorry, what?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I used to set my alarm to 11.30 and watch from 11.30 to 1(am) and then go back to bed.’ ”
“To say it’s (hosting ‘SNL’) a dream come true is an understatement.”
