Angelina Jolie has opened up about her split from former husband Brad Pitt, as she focusses on her six children in lockdown.
The 45-year-old award winning actress has revealed that their relationship had to end for the “well-being” of her family.
Angelina and Brad divorced back in 2016, and now co-parent their six children.
Opening up about her split from her former actor beau, Angelina told Vogue Global Network : “I separated for the wellbeing of my family. It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing.”
The Academy Award winner added: “In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people.”

Angelina also said that she ensures the words “adoption” and “orphanage” are “positive words” in her family home.
The ex couple, former known as ‘Brangelina’, share sons Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, and Knox Léon, 11, and are also parents to daughters Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 16, and Vivienne, 11.
Angelina continued: “All adopted children come with a beautiful mystery of a world that is meeting yours.

“When they are from another race and foreign land that mystery, that gift, is so full.”
Bradley and Angelina met in 2004, while filming Mr And Mrs Smith.
They married in August 2014 after 10 years together, and ended their relationship two years later.
They’re co-parenting their six children during the coronavirus lockdown.

According to Closer Online, Brad made the decision to spend more time in the company of Angelina for the sake of his children.
This has reportedly got in the way with Brad and Jennifer’s friendship, as the former couple were said to be getting closer again.
A sourced told the publication: “Jen feels as though she and Brad were really getting somewhere and now their friendship might be put on the back burner as he turns his focus to Ange and the kids.”
