During Friday night’s episode of Emmerdale, Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) tried to frame Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor Draper) and Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) for the hit and run.
They were hauled into the police station for questioning, while, back in the village, Belle’s accomplice Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) appeared to come up with a plan to help her ex Jamie.
Emmerdale spoilers reveal that, next week, Belle tells DS Evans to speak to Andrea about the hit and run while she’s being questioned.
She tells the police that Andrea will back up her alibi – but will she, considering their history?
Soon, a newly released Belle arrives back at home but is left shaken to the core when she discovers what has happened.
The next day, Jamie speaks to his solicitor alone and is warned that if he does decide to go ahead with his plan to implicate Belle and Nate in the hit and run, there will be no going back.
Back at Home Farm, Jamie’s solicitor heads out to put their plan into action.
But soon, the bad lad comes clean and tells Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) about what he’s done.
The Dingles are left plotting their revenge.
Meanwhile, Jamie hits the bottle and, drunk, slips and hits his head, ending up unconscious.
He’s eventually found by Luke Posner (Max Parker) who goes around to try and work something out about the eviction notice.
Will Jamie recover from his fall?
And what exactly are he and Andrea up to?
Whatever it is surely won’t be good, as the Tate family isn’t known for playing fair.
Matriarch Kim Tate (Claire King) made a return appearance during Friday’s episode via a video call with Jamie, when he told her all about his scheming to frame Belle and Nate.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays on ITV
