Brad Pitt 'set to reunite' with George Clooney and Matt Damon for new Ocean's movie

Hollywood tycoons Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon are allegedly set for a massive reunion for another Ocean’s movie.

The blockbuster icons who appeared in the film’s original movie Ocean’s Eleven are “set to reunite” 15 years after the last instalment and 21 years since the original came out.

A source told The Sun: “Rumours of a film starring George, Brad and Matt have swirled for years, but the timing was off, and their jam-packed schedules meant that it was just not possible.

“Finally, the right team for the job has come together in a bid to make it a huge success, and the main stars thought it would be good fun to revisit.

“The franchise is hugely popular, and the brilliant storyline was an opportunity that was too good to miss.”

The first instalment of the action-packed movie centred around Danny Ocean (George) and Rusty Ryan (Brad) as they planned a multi-million-pound heist from casino owner Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), the lover of Danny’s ex-wife Tess (Julia Roberts).

After the movie dropped in 2001, it made a killing at the box office, bagging a massive £400million.

The movie’s success was followed by two epic sequels, Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen.

Jason Bourne actor Matt showed interest in making the movie’s fourth instalment.

During an interview on Good Morning America last year, he said the franchise’s future was down to its director Steven Soderbergh.

The Hollywood star said: “It would always be up to Steven Soderbergh if there was a story. We have lost a couple of our members, so we would have to figure it out. We are a depleted gang now.”

Matt was referring to the actor Carl Reiner, who played Saul Bloom in the franchise, who passed away in 2020 of natural causes, aged 98.

About a decade after the third instalment, a spin-off with an iconic all-female cast was released in 2018 starring entertainment’s best actresses: Sandra Bullock, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway and Cate Blanchett.

The movie follows a group of women as they attempt to launch a massive heist at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
