Piers Morgan brands Prince Harry Netflix documentary a 'sickening family betrayal'

Piers Morgan has branded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary a “grotesque and sickening betrayal of his family”.

The second half of Harry and Meghan dropped on Thursday (December 15), with the three episodes taking a look at the couple’s married life and relocation to the US.

In it, a number of bombshell claims were made, including that the Palace allegedly planted negative stories about Meghan to “protect” Harry’s brother Prince William.

Piers never misses a chance to have his say on the duo, frequently taking aim at Meghan, though this time he had Prince Harry set in his sights.

He said on Twitter: “Prince Harry publicly trashing his brother William, branding his father King Charles a liar, and attacking his grandmother the late Queen for doing nothing. This is such a grotesque and sickening betrayal of his family.”

The first set of episodes was released the previous week on the same day that Piers’ wife Celia Walden celebrated her birthday.

But former Good Morning Britain host Piers was so engrossed in sharing his opinions on the documentary that he forgot to wish her a happy birthday.

He shared photos of her the next day and wrote: “All the trolls raging that I only criticise Meghan Markle because I ‘fancied’ her and then got upset when she ghosted… have reminded me that I forgot to publicly wish my wife Celia a happy birthday yesterday. (And yes, she knows she lucked out).”

Piers has been very vocal with his distaste for the Harry and Meghan documentary, saying that he “retched” while watching the trailer for it.

He also said that the “whine-a-thon” series was “worse than Keeping Up With The Kardashians”, something he says he “didn’t think was humanly possible”.

Piers went on to call the series “so boring” and disputed the idea that Britain was a “racist country”.

He said: “Most tolerant place in Europe, as all the coverage of their engagement/wedding showed.”
