Rebel Wilson looked slimmer than ever as she walked the red carpet at the 75th EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) 2022.
The Pitch Perfect star donned a floor-length peplum black gown constructed entirely of a sheer netting material as she prepared to host the prestigious ceremony alongside Strictly Come Dancing finalist AJ Odudu and comedian Tom Allen.
With layers upon layers of netted skirts forming frills around her noticeably slimmer frame,Rebel dazzled in front of the cameras in the show-stopping dress, complete with a navy blue sequinned corset.
Frills of netting trailed up around her collarbones and waist as Rebel posed on her way to the ceremony, taking place at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The star had her blonde tresses pinned back in an elaborate hoop-style up-do, opting for a smokey make-up look around her eyes as she beamed for her waiting audience.
And her dress dipped just below her shoulders at the back, revealing a wealth of bare skin to the camera lenses as she turned to the side to show off another angle of her incredible outfit.
She joins celebrities including Lady Gaga, Line of Duty star Stephen Graham and Benedict Cumberbatch at the coveted awards ceremony.
Rebel left BAFTA bosses so impressed when she presented an award two years ago – with a searing jibe aimed at Prince Andrew – that they invited her back in 2022 to host the entire ceremony.
It comes after the 41-year-old actress embarked on a ‘year of health’ in 2020, which saw her plummet several dress sizes after losing more than five stone.
Rebel was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which saw her pile on the weight in her 20s.
She opened up about playing the role of ‘Fat Amy’ in the Pitch Perfect movies, explaining: “Obviously I knew I was a bigger girl so I was like, you just got to embrace it.
“So that’s why I went into comedy acting because I knew how much power comedians can have, people are more likely to laugh at people they don’t want to have sex with.”
When Rebel turned 40, she opened up on her year of getting fit, adding: “I’m turning 40 I knew I can be healthier… I’m gonna make the big change and lose the excess weight, I had a lot of push-back from that.
“But everybody’s journey is different, and it’s not a race or competition.”
